Position: AI Annotation Expert
Type: Hourly contractor
Compensation: $40/hour

Position: AI Annotation Expert

Role Responsibilities
- Analyze short video clips and images to produce structured annotations capturing subjects, objects, environments, audio cues, temporal dynamics, mood, and storytelling elements.
- Collaborate directly with Mercor’s project leads to enhance AI systems' understanding of complex visual and narrative information.
- Apply judgment to decide attributes that best describe scenes and express subtle narrative or emotional cues.
- Document findings clearly and follow precise instructions while quickly adopting new requirements.
- Work independently and asynchronously to meet deadlines and improve AI model performance.
Must-Have
- Experience in roles like movie producers, film editors, screenwriters, archivists, media analysts, or generalists.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to document findings clearly.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to follow precise instructions and quickly adopt new requirements.
- Rolling start dates; applications reviewed on a rolling basis.
