Who Are We Looking For?

We’re seeking an individual with a passion for design, video editing, and digital media to join our creative team and be responsible for primarily making video assets for the brands we work with. If this sounds like you, please attach your resume and portfolio that showcases your skills.

  • Comfortable working in Adobe suite, Capcut, Canva
  • Has a strong sense of pacing and storytelling
  • Ability to adapt tone to the individual needs of each client
  • Experience in short-form editing (i.e. digital ads or social media)
  • Ability to join us on set periodically in Montreal


Only qualified candidates with an attached portfolio will be considered.

If your portfolio hasn’t been updated recently, no problem — we care most about the quality of your work and your relevant experience. You don’t need to create an extensive portfolio; we’re simply looking for samples that showcase your skills as they relate to this role.


This role includes a video editing assessment as part of the application process. You’ll be asked to complete a short mock assignment for a social media ad — we’ll provide all assets and direction. The assessment is purely for evaluation purposes. If you’re not open to completing the assessment, please consider not applying.


THE ROLE

Collaborate remotely with your marketing team to design effective paid ad marketing campaigns for a wide range of eCommerce brands. As a performance Video Editor your role will involve:


Ad Creative

  • Work alongside growth directors and creative strategists to develop ad creative for paid advertising on platforms such as Meta.

Workflow & Responsibilities

  • Conceptualize project briefs into effective creative content.
  • Provide input on creative direction, as well as efficient collaboration on revisions and project deliveries within a team setting.
  • Participate and contribute in team meetings and group discussions (via Google Meet) video calls.
  • Work remotely using organization and time management skills to manage your own schedule and stay on track with deliverables. Communication takes place in Slack and Asana.


EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

  • Minimum 3 years professional experience in video editing, production, or content creation.
  • At least 2+ years of experience editing short-form video for paid social media platforms (e.g. Meta and TikTok).
  • Based within driving distance from Montreal, Canada.
  • Highly proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere Pro, After Effects, Photoshop, etc.).
  • Excellent understanding of typography, layout, and branding principles.
  • Basic understanding of UX/UI Design.
  • Able to work independently with minimal oversight throughout the creative process.
  • Strong time management, collaboration, and multitasking skills.
  • Versatile and creative, able to conceptualize and execute a brand’s visual identity and storytelling across platforms, ensuring deliverables meet brand expectations.
  • Preferred: Familiar with Slack and Asana.

Salary: $60,000 - $90,000+ (based on experience)
