The starting base pay range for this position is $80,000-$90,000. Individual compensation will be commensurate with candidate's experience. This position is eligible for full benefits, as well as the Staff level annual incentive bonus program.
Summary Of Position
Join AVIXA as a dynamic IT Business Analyst, leveraging expertise in business analysis, process design, project delivery, and data-driven solutions. Apply hands-on experience to drive impactful enterprise solutions like Salesforce, Learning Management Systems, Microsoft Data stack (including Fabric), etc. Collaborate across business and technical teams to define, deliver, and validate results. Ensure quality and continuity in service delivery by applying ITIL practices and robust QA/testing methodologies.
Major Duties & Responsibilities
- Liaise between business stakeholders and technical teams to gather, document, and analyze business requirements.
- Design workflows, processes, and data models to support business operations and analytics.
- Develop functional specifications and collaborate with developers, testers, and system administrators to ensure solution quality, drive adoption, and uphold governance.
- Define QA and test strategies, develop test cases, and oversee UAT to validate business requirements.
- Produce comprehensive documentation, including Business Requirements documents, functional specifications, test scripts, project plans, and user guides.
- Recommend enhancements to processes, tools, and reporting practices to foster continuous improvement.
- Lead end-to-end project delivery, overseeing planning, execution, monitoring, and reporting.
- Apply ITIL practices to manage incident, change, and problem processes effectively.
- Identify risks and issues proactively, propose mitigation strategies, and drive timely resolution.

Required Skills & Experience
- Apply expertise in business analytics, including dashboards, data modeling, and governance.
- Map and engineer business processes, conducting gap analysis and designing decision/data flows and architecture diagrams.
- Implement ITIL best practices for IT service management, including incident, change, and problem management.
- Execute quality assurance and software testing practices, including test planning, execution, and defect management.
- Coordinate project activities and timelines across cross-functional teams, ensuring deliverables are completed on schedule and within scope by maintaining detailed project plans and status reports.
- Utilize MS Office 365 tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Teams, SharePoint) to support project delivery.
- Communicate effectively with both business and technical stakeholders.
- Organize and manage multiple initiatives simultaneously, demonstrating strong time management skills.
- Analyze complex problems with attention to detail and deliver effective solutions.
Preferred Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of relevant work experience. Following certifications are a plus (e.g., PRINCE2, Certified Business Analysis Professional, PMI Project Management Professional, ITIL, Six Sigma, Salesforce Admin, Microsoft Data/Power BI certifications).
- Experience in agile and/or hybrid project methodologies.
- Background in data governance, compliance, or change management.
