Position: Python Developer
Type: Part-time / Contract
Compensation: $30–$50/hour
Location: Remote
Commitment: 10–20 hours/week
Role Responsibilities
- Contribute to open-source Python repositories used by leading AI and data teams.
- Design, implement, and optimize backend systems in Python for scalability and maintainability.
- Collaborate asynchronously with global contributors using GitHub workflows (issues, PRs, code review).
- Ensure code quality with automated testing and documentation.
- Drive best practices for modularity, type safety, and performance.
Must-Have
- Minimum 2+ years of professional experience in Python backend development.
- Active and regular contributor to open-source repositories (verified via GitHub).
- Strong understanding of software design principles and backend architecture.
- Familiarity with modern development tools (pytest, black, flake8, Docker, GitHub Actions).
- Excellent written communication and ability to work independently in a remote, asynchronous environment.
