Position: AI Tutor – Chemical Engineering Specialist

Type: Full-time

Compensation: $45–$100/hour

Location: Remote or Palo Alto, CA

Commitment: 40 hours/week

Role Responsibilities

  • Use proprietary software to provide precise annotations and labeled data for chemical engineering projects.
  • Ensure the delivery of high-quality, curated datasets that drive model development and accuracy.
  • Collaborate with technical teams to design and train new AI tasks.
  • Contribute to the development of efficient annotation tools and processes.
  • Identify and analyze complex engineering problems to enhance AI model understanding.
  • Interpret and execute evolving task instructions with precision and adaptability.

Qualifications

Must-Have

  • Master’s degree or PhD in Chemical Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Strong command of both informal and professional English.
  • Proven ability to conduct research using scientific databases.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and independent judgment.
  • Demonstrated passion for technological innovation in engineering or AI.

Preferred

  • PhD in Chemical Engineering.
  • Professional experience applying chemical engineering principles.
  • Published research in reputable scientific journals.
  • Previous experience as an AI tutor, technical writer, or educator.
  • Background in technical writing or journalism.
