The Opportunity
We are seeking a talented and experienced Senior Marketing Advisor, Communications to join our dynamic team. You will play a critical role in driving the development and execution of key marketing communication strategies to engage, inform, and motivate our Group Insurance Business stakeholders. Your expertise in crafting effective communication plans, engaging target audiences, and collaborating with cross-functional teams will be instrumental in achieving our marketing goals and strengthening our brand.

Your expertise in crafting effective communication plans, engaging target audiences, and collaborating with cross-functional teams will be instrumental in achieving our marketing goals and strengthening our brand.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement strategic communication plans that align with our organizational objectives and enhance our brand reputation and build awareness of our unique value proposition.
- Create and execute comprehensive communication strategies and tactics to effectively deliver key messages to both internal and external stakeholders. Lead the development and execution of marketing communications strategies to promote our brand, products, and services, including recurring communications for plan sponsors, advisors, and group administrators.
- Collaborate with Marketing colleagues and cross-functional teams, including Business Development, Product, Brand, Communications and Operations to define key messages, target audience segments, and communication channels.
- Work closely with internal stakeholders and communications team colleagues to develop timely and effective response plans for urgent and crisis communication situations.
- Oversee the creation and dissemination of high-quality written and visual content, ensuring consistent messaging and brand voice through all stakeholder communication channels – including newsletters, portals, and toolkits that support adoption of self-serve resources.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure consistent messaging and alignment across all client and member-facing marketing materials, business development documents and presentations, including finalist presentations and sales enablement tools that reinforce our value proposition.
- Research, analyze, and monitor industry trends and competitors to inform communications and messaging strategies, and identify market opportunities.
- Stay up-to-date with emerging communication trends, tools, and technologies, and recommend innovative approaches to enhance communication effectiveness, utilizing best practices in marketing communications.
- Track, analyze, and report on the performance of marketing communications, leveraging data-driven insights to strengthen our messaging and optimize future efforts.
- Education: Post-secondary education in business, marketing or communication discipline or sufficient marketing and communications development knowledge and experience.
- Work Experience: Minimum 5 years of previous experience in developing and executing B2B marketing communications, within a corporate environment or through work with corporate clients. Insurance industry experience considered an asset.
- Computer Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite of Products.
- Language Skills: Fluency in English. Bilingualism (French and English) is considered an asset
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling and concise messages for various audiences.
- Strong storytelling and presentation development skills, effectively communicating complex ideas and messages to diverse stakeholders.
- Experience in crisis communications and managing sensitive issues, demonstrating the ability to handle high-pressure situations with professionalism and composure.
- Exceptional interpersonal and collaboration, and stakeholder management skills, establishing rapport and credibility with colleagues and cross-functional teams.
- Strategic thinking and analytical skills, gathering and interpreting insights to inform communication strategies.
- Creativity and innovation skills, objectively assessing the status quo and developing new approaches to achieve communication objectives.
- Customer orientation - understanding customer needs and incorporating that perspective into all activities.
