*Position** **Overview:*

TCNJ's Department of Online Counselor Education, part of the School of Graduate, Global, and Online Education, is seeking candidates to serve as adjunct instructors to teach online graduate courses for a clinical mental health counselor program during the 2025-2026 academic year.

Responsibilities

*Instructors will be contracted to teach courses in the following areas:*

Introduction to Counseling and Counseling SkillsGroup CounselingCareer Counseling Research and Program Evaluation in CounselingMulticultural CounselingCounseling Theories and TechniquesEthical, Legal, and Professional Issues in CounselingHuman Growth and DevelopmentAddiction Counseling: Individual, Family, and SocietyPsychopathology and PsychopharmacologyClinical Mental Health CounselingAssessment and Diagnostic ProcessesCase Conceptualization and Treatment PlanningPracticum in CounselingTrauma and Crisis CounselingRelational CounselingInternship I & IICounseling Prevention Principles and PracticeCounseling Co-Occurring DisordersMindfulness and Wellness in CounselingCounseling the AgedGender and Human SexualityCounseling Children and AdolescentsAdvanced Counseling Theories and Techniques *Main Responsibilities:*

Instruct synchronous online courses in counselor educationProvide timely feedback on student workConfer with students during office hours *Required Qualifications:*

MA in clinical mental health counseling (minimum 2 years post-MA)Must be an actively practicing counselor (this is true for all faculty, adjunct or not)Comfortable with learning new technology, consider oneself to be tech-savvyComfortable with public speakingHave stable and reliable Internet access with a broadband internet connection with a minimum download speed of 25 megabits per second (Mbps) and an upload speed of 3 MbpsConfident in your clinical skills and in providing clinical feedback to others

Preferred

Experience teaching in a graduate program for counselingExperience providing clinical supervision to counselors in training or associate licensed counselors
