Reporting to the Manager, IT, Security and Digital Operations, this role will be an essential resource in maintaining CCUA’s current lineup of in-house software solutions, as well as the development and launch of new critical applications to support CCUA’s strategic direction. This role requires a high-energy and research-driven individual who enjoys solving complicated business problems, a self-starter who enjoys research, self-learning, and maintaining up-to-date knowledge of current and emerging Web development technologies. The incumbent will provide technical development, enhancements, and maintenance of software applications and solutions in the IT department and assist in maintaining third-party software, support to escalated issues and ensures compliance with the platform’s best practices and feature set, be responsible for system analysis, programming, testing, documentation, and, in some cases, design of optimal software solutions. The Web Solutions Developer will operate in the Microsoft Tech Stack with .NET Technologies and Entity Framework (.NET Framework, .NET Core 2.0+, and .NET6+), and SQL Server (2017+), will also be involved in all software development projects and is a key resource in the support, maintenance, and enhancement of CCUA’s in-house software solutions, ensuring the scalability, security, and efficiency of new and existing solutions.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Deliverables and Main Supporting Activities:
1. Develop New Customized IT Solutions
Plan, architect, implement, and deploy new mission-critical IT Solutions.
• Work collaboratively with stakeholders and other software developers to design architecture for cloud, on-premise, and hybrid systems
• Provide consulting and expert advice regarding the implementation of architectural standards, principles, and best practices
• Identify implementation risks and analyze the potential impact on CCUA and the achievement of solution objectives
• Assist with work breakdown and sprint planning in Azure DevOps using User Stories and Tasks
• Design, build, and test software
• Facilitate demos and discussions with the technical team and stakeholders
• Implement test plan and supervise User Acceptance Testing
• Deploy to end users
2. Maintain Existing IT Solutions
Update existing CCUA applications to improve functionality or repair a flaw.
• Re-architect and modernize legacy systems
• Update and maintain the architecture library
• Triage incoming enhancement requests by determining the impact of the request
• Coordinate with the IT team and stakeholders to develop a delivery schedule
• Design and execute a communication plan to roll out enhancements or repair flaws to end users
• Plan, implement, and deploy the required changes
• Follow up with end users for feedback on changes implemented
3. Support and Troubleshoot
Accountable for the overall viability and integrity of IT software solutions
• Ensure the reported environment/software issues are fixed in a timely manner
• Analyze the issue and report back the solution and timeline to fix the problem to stakeholders
• Ensure the issue is valid and stakeholders are notified
• Create, test, and deploy the solution
4. Technical Subject Matter Expert
Provide consulting and expert advice regarding the implementation of Development and /or architectural standards, principles, and best practices.
• Assist other departments with insights where a technology solution is needed
• Ensure requirements are gathered and documented thoroughly and accurately
• Ensure the right technology decisions are made with proper research and development techniques
• Provide relevant information when needed to internal stakeholders/colleagues or external vendors/consultants
• Develop a communication strategy for deliverables
• Assist in setting milestones
• Ensure the scope of the project is respected
5. Evaluate and introduce new IT solutions to meet enterprise needs
Evaluate and recommend appropriate modern technology (application frameworks, software tools, SaaS applications, new languages, development platform updates) to resolve technical issues, improve service, and maximize the development team's efficiency.
• Keep abreast of technical, business, and market industry trends, internal strategies, and directions
• Research online articles and whitepapers
• Setup and test in local development environment
• Drive technical discussion with 3rd party vendors during the vendor viability assessment phase
QUALIFICATIONS
Education
• University Degree in Computer Science or related discipline
• Development certification or relevant experience
Experience
• 5+ years of software development experience
• Proficiency in ASP.NET MVC framework, C#, and front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript)
• 2 years of Azure infrastructure experience
• Preferred: SQL Server /T-SQL
Qualifications, Certifications or Designations
• Expert knowledge of .NET platform
• Advanced knowledge of Azure Cloud Computing
• Preferred: Microsoft Certification
• Preferred: Knowledge of IT Service Delivery Best Practices

• This role primarily operates in a remote work environment, with occasional work performed in a traditional office setting.
• No physical effort required beyond day-to-day movement, such as sitting, standing, walking, etc.
• Moderate audio / visual effort requirements. Repetitive tasks, some switching of concentrated attention between tasks, with a limited capability to control the pace of work.

Target Start Date: Monday, November 17th, 2025 (or earlier)
Position Details: Full-time, Permanent
Salary Range: $76,800 - $101,600, based on a 35-hour work week. Salary
for this position will be commensurate with the successful applicant’s education and/or experience as it relates to the position.
Location: Remote-first, Flexible work location with access to some offices
