Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Proposal Specialist to join our team! In this role you’ll support the development and delivery of proposals for projects within the critical infrastructure market across Canada. This is a 12-month opportunity.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Performing detailed analysis of solicitation documents to assess requirements and building compliance matrices, schedules, and annotated outlines
- Collaborating with capture team members and subject matter experts (SMEs) to guide proposal development efforts through the proposal process
- Working with graphics and desktop publishing teams to tailor templates
- Reviewing proposal drafts and final documents for compliance, responsiveness, thoroughness, accuracy, and quality
- Establishing a print production schedule and resource plan to ensure required proposal documents are produced properly and delivered on time
- Populating and maintains SharePoint and Microsoft Teams libraries
- Retrieving resumes and project descriptions from Parsons’ qualifications repositories
- Facilitating proposal kick-off meetings, milestone meetings, and color reviews (pink, red, gold)
- Writing non-technical proposal content (e.g., resumes, past performance) and tailors content written by SMEs to develop cohesive, clear, and persuasive submissions
- Researching, analyzing, and synthesizing information from multiple sources
- Performing closeout activities, initiating the lessons learned process, and archiving files
- Assisting with closeout activities, including archiving and repository updates
What Required Skills You'll Bring:
- Must reside in Canada.
- Strong writing and editorial skills
- Understanding of proposal best practices and ability to collaborate with team members with a range of experience and technical abilities in the development of proposal documents
- Strong communication skills to coordinate with capture teams throughout the pursuit life cycle
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and ability to build meaningful relationships with key stakeholders across the organization
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities in a very dynamic work environment and working in stressful situations with critical deadlines (evening and weekend work may be required to meet deadlines)
- Coordination of multiple assignments with overlapping schedules, and the ability to multi-task
- Ensure alignment with proposal process, corporate strategy, business line strategic goals, and business markets
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite software (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
What Desired Skills You'll Bring:
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Adobe InDesign and Acrobat)
- Four-year bachelor’s degree in marketing, English, Rhetoric, Business, Communications, Liberal Arts
- Approximately 7+ years of proposal management experience
