The Senior Application Portfolio Analyst is responsible for managing and optimizing assigned business application portfolios. Job Summary
As a Strategy & Governance team member, Application Portfolio Manager assists in analyzing, maintaining, prioritizing, tracking the lifecycles, and managing day-to-day business applications. You will need to Interact with various application owners, IT, Security teams, engineering, and applications developers to identify and address the lifecycle of applications. You will need to understand the constraints on the portfolio. These constraints may include resources, compliance with regulations or security, operational continuity planning, technology limitation, funding, and physical space.

Essential Functions
- Identify and eliminate redundant and unused applications
- Consolidate similar applications into a single new application
- Retire older and more expensive-to-maintain applications
- Determine which data flows through which applications to optimize security controls
- Identifying and automating changes to the application service life cycles
- Organizing applications according to business capabilities.
- Categorizing the applications based on their business capabilities
- Arranging IT components into technology stacks
- Documenting all applications currently or previously deployed in an organization, as well as those planned
- Assessing the function and technical value of applications
- Creates a collaborative partnership among IT leaders and portfolio stakeholders and enables resource demand planning, change management, and project pipeline planning decisions

- Works with the Project Manager and the team to determine the best mix of application development and third-party vendor solutions to meet business requirements and project objectives
- BA/BS Degree required
- Relevant experience may substitute for the degree requirement on a year-for-year basis required and
- 3 + years of IT Portfolio Management Experience required and
- 2 + years of experience in project coordination, management, and project delivery accountability required and
- 3 - 5 years of experience in enterprise analysis required and
- Prior experience leading diverse and collaborative relationships across multiple teams required
- Excellent soft skills greatly preferred, e.g., adaptability, emotional intelligence,
- perseverance, active listening
- Mindfulness Effective negotiating, consulting & coaching skills
- IT Systems Management knowledge-knowledge of the asset and process management practices, requirements, and support services of the IT function is preferred

- Knowledge of application support principles
- Knowledge of Cloud technologies
- Demonstrated outstanding oral and written communication and interpersonal skill
