Summary:
The Analyst Contracts position is responsible for the preparing, redlining, and negotiating of contract documents received from internal Hershey customers and Procurement Buyers and Category managers during the award phase of a request for proposal (“RFP”) process. This position applies professional, technical, and legal skills to the redlining/reviewing of legal agreements for a variety of contract types like master services agreements, statements of work, etc. The contract analyst is required to work independently in managing the full lifecycle of a contract from the time the request is received until the contract is fully signed by all parties. This position reduces risk to the Hershey Company by bringing discipline, consistency, control, and accountability to Hershey’s Indirect Procurement contract management process. Additional duties include maintaining contract files, notifying affected suppliers/agencies/customers of pertinent contract issues and status, and processing contract renewals and discontinuance. This individual will be required to interact directly with a variety of internal customers at different levels within the Hershey organization to understand contract requirements and to seek advice and counsel from the Hershey Law Department and Risk Management functions when necessary for legal language approaches on specific agreements.

Skills and Experience:
- 1 - 3 years working knowledge of commonly used contract types (e.g. NDA, master services agreements, etc.) and legal clauses related those agreements
- Six months of continuous and recent hands on experience redlining contract agreements
- Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word productivity Tools for redlining of agreements.
- Excellent written and verbal skills to effectively communicate with project personnel, suppliers, and other stakeholders
- Strong attention to details and organized
- Basic mathematical skills
- Ability to manage deadlines and service levels in a transactional environment (multi-task)
- Willingness/enthusiasm for accepting responsibility and accountability; An “ownership mentality"
- Ability to present ideas in a clear, assertive, and concise manner
- Ability to foster strong relationships with colleagues/customers
- Customer service focused
- Self-starter and shows initiative in staying current with existing changes in contract law
- Ability to accept change and learn new tools in processing contract agreements
- Bachelor of Science in Legal Studies, Associate Degree in Paralegal Studies, or related studies
- Master’s certificate in Commercial Contract Management or related studies is a plus.
- Knowledge of Information Technology is a plus.
- Some exposure to the request for proposal ("RFP”) process through the award phase is a plus.
