Missions
- Manage a team supporting technical application activities and foster their professional growth and development;
- Perform daily operational support of applications and liaise with business stakeholders to define and ensure SLAs and expectations are met;
- Lead the implementation of all new system applications by developing roadmaps, defining functional and business requirements and developing and presenting business cases to senior leadership for approval;
- Ensure proper security measures are implemented to protect computing resources and critical data and train new users by ensuring IT Operational Documentation is relevant;
- Participate in Audit Reviews and ensure applications are SOX compliant and work closely with other IT teams to ensure production applications are performing and operationally stable;
- Manage all aspects of business as it relates to IT application systems, including upgrades, testing, and coordinating service outages;
- Develop and manage departmental expenditures to ensure alignment with approved Capital and Operating budgets.
- Post-secondary education, such as a Bachelor’s Degree, in Computer Science or related field;
- 15 + years of relevant work experience in the IT industry with 5 + years supporting Enterprise level applications and managing application teams (we would also welcome an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience);
- Prior leadership experience building and nurturing high-performing teams in remote locations and managing projects with cross-functional groups;
- Strong technical experience and knowledge supporting applications such as CRM (MS Dynamics) and ERP (Sage X3 preferred) systems and collaborating with business units to define requirements and introduce solutions.
- Experience with cloud hosted applications in AWS/Azure and supporting custom configured COTS products;
- Knowledge of the cannabis industry and experience working with highly integrated business units and systems to deliver sound solutions.
