Position Overview
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Contracting/Procurement Specialist to join our Operations team. This role will manage the full lifecycle of contracts and procurement processes, while also supporting edtech-specific requirements such as RFPs and documentation for education partners. You will work closely with Product, Engineering, Marketing, and Finance to ensure timely, cost-effective, and compliant vendor and partner management.

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Contracting/Procurement Specialist to join our Operations team. This role will manage the full lifecycle of contracts and procurement processes, while also supporting edtech-specific requirements such as RFPs and documentation for education partners. You will work closely with Product, Engineering, Marketing, and Finance to ensure timely, cost-effective, and compliant vendor and partner management.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate the preparation, submission, and tracking of RFPs and related applications in the edtech sector.
- Collaborate with internal teams to compile required documentation and ensure timely, high-quality submissions.
- Maintain templates, processes, and resources to streamline future RFP participation.
- Draft, review, and manage subscription agreements, service contracts, and other legal agreements with all the parties involved.
- Maintain a centralized contract and agreement database, ensuring all documents are accurate, up to date, and accessible.
- Monitor compliance with contractual terms and proactively manage renewals, amendments, and terminations.
- Lead the procurement process from requisition to purchase order, aligning with company policy and budget.
- Develop standardized processes for contract and RFP management to improve efficiency and reduce risk.
- Identify opportunities for improving how we engage with customers and vendors through procurement processes.
- Provide guidance and training to internal teams on best practices related to contracts, agreements, and RFPs.
- Experience: 3–5 years in contracting, procurement, or related roles, with experience in the edtech sector.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Law, or related field.
- Skills:
- Proven contract negotiation and management expertise.
- Strong procurement and supply chain knowledge.
- Hands-on experience managing RFPs, proposals, and related edtech applications/documentation.
- Excellent attention to detail, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects independently.
- Familiarity with contract management software/ERP is a plus.
- Knowledge of data privacy regulations relevant to education (COPPA, FERPA).
- Experience working with SaaS agreements and subscription-based models.
