Our technology helps customers accurately track ad spend, understand the full customer journey, and drive profitable growth.

We're a remote-friendly company with offices in San Francisco and Los Angeles.

About the Role

We are seeking a Data Scientist to support our marketing intelligence product, working directly with both customers and internal teams to deliver reliable measurement solutions. In this role, you'll contribute to the core systems that help businesses understand marketing effectiveness, while flexibly shifting between technical implementation and customer support as needs evolve.

You'll be supported through mentorship from senior team members on complex challenges, with opportunities to take ownership of technical projects as you grow your expertise in marketing measurement and technical translation.

Your Impact

  • Support both new and existing data science–powered products.
  • Contribute to forecasting and experimentation capabilities, improving model accuracy and expanding measurement coverage.
  • Explain statistical concepts to customers, troubleshoot measurement issues, and gather feedback to enhance Northbeam's product suite.
  • Collaborate with engineering and product teams to translate customer needs into technical requirements.
  • Provide technical expertise and support for non-technical stakeholders, both internal and external.

What You Bring

  • Bachelor's degree (MS preferred) in Mathematics, Computer Science, or a highly quantitative STEM field.
  • 2+ years experience in Data science and ML roles.
  • Solid foundation in statistics, machine learning, and causal inference with experience applying these methods to business problems. Examples: regression, time series analysis, A/B testing, Bayesian modeling, signal processing.
  • Proficiency in Python/R, SQL, and experience with data platforms and statistical modeling libraries.
  • Experience with (or enthusiasm about) working in a small, fast-paced company, and desire to drive the implementation of projects start-to-finish.
  • Strong growth mindset, desire to learn marketing measurement concepts.
  • Comfort explaining technical concepts to non-technical audiences and troubleshooting customer issues.

Bonus Skills & Experience

  • Any experience in marketing attribution, MMM, experimentation, or related measurement challenges.
  • Experience developing and validating production models that drive real business decisions.
  • Familiarity with MLOps practices and data pipeline orchestration tools.

While we welcome applicants from all locations in the US and Canada, we are prioritizing candidates in San Francisco who are able to work from our downtown SF office a few days/week.

Base Salary Range

$125,000—$150,000 USD

Actual compensation may vary based on experience, skills, and location.

We accept applications on an ongoing basis.

We're experiencing rapid growth and strong product-market fit, and we're looking for the right people to help us scale. This is a rare chance to make a meaningful impact at a fast-moving, high-growth company. At Northbeam, you'll join a team of driven, collaborative, and talented individuals who value personal growth and excellence. We'd love for you to be part of our journey.

In addition to your base salary, we offer an equity package, comprehensive healthcare benefits (medical, dental, and vision), and a 401(k) plan.
