Description

This is a 12-16 month co-op position starting in May 2026 and can be on-site in our Toronto office, hybrid or entirely remote.

Join Vena Solutions for a software development internship that offers a great team culture and an opportunity to grow technically and professionally! At Vena we develop a cutting-edge cloud-native SaaS product that helps companies manage their financial planning by connecting corporate financial data with Microsoft Excel, the business application used by half a billion users worldwide. We’re a leading Scale-Up in Toronto’s Liberty Village tech hub, with a focus on diversity, inclusion and belonging.

How You'll Make an Impact

Our interns work on Agile Scrum teams with full-time developers, writing Java server code, ReactJS web client code, or Java automation testing code. You will get to tackle large problems and own areas of our product. We deploy code to production on AWS every day.

Our tech stack includes:
  • A pure JavaScript front-end leveraging React, Redux, and Webpack
  • A Java back-end Server and Java/SpringBoot based microservices running on AWS cloud infrastructure
  • A custom-built data cube with our in-house cube programming language
  • Modern data stores like MongoDB, ElasticSearch, Redshift, and RDS

We'd Love to See

  • We are looking for aspiring developers who love to code, enjoy trying the latest technologies and want to fast-track their learning:
  • You are in a post-secondary co-op program in Computer Science, Engineering, Math, or a related field
  • You are enrolled in a registered cooperative education program and are available for a 12- or 16-month work term starting May 2026
  • You love technology and like to keep up to date with trends in Web-based software
  • You want to work in a culture where you’re encouraged to and can take on new initiatives or jump into existing ones (Front-End Guild, Hack Nights, Network for Women, Green Team, etc)

We appreciate all interest in this opportunity. However, we will only be considering applicants who are currently enrolled in a registered university co-op program in Ontario and available for a 12-or 16-month full-time co-op starting in May 2026.

*Our salaries are tailored to roles, levels and locations. Your individual pay within this range is influenced by factors like work location, skills, experience and education. As you progress in your role, your compensation may adapt, offering flexibility for growth beyond initial levels. For specifics, your recruiter will provide details and address any questions during the hiring process.
