Role Overview

  • Position: Public Policy Specialist – Contract, Remote
  • Commitment: 20 hours per week, Duration: 2 months
  • Combine public policy expertise with language mastery to train AI models in public policy.

Responsibilities

  • Translate and synthesize complex policy frameworks into structured rubrics for AI training.
  • Write fluently in both Japanese and English, ensuring accurate terminology and nuanced expression.
  • Provide cultural and policy insights unique to Japan.
  • Collaborate with reviewers and peers to refine content.

Requirements / Qualifications

Must-Have Qualifications

  • Native-level fluency in Japanese with strong written and spoken English.
  • Degree in policy, political science, sociology, or similar field.
  • 2–6+ years of experience in politics, public policy, or think tanks.
  • Excellent writing, analytical, and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with grading, instructional design, or rubric development.
  • Familiarity with generative AI models or machine learning concepts.

Engagement Details

  • Remote and asynchronous role
  • 20 hours per week commitment
  • 2 months duration
  • Structured project environment with clear goals and tools
