How can you make an impact?

McGraw Hill, the leading provider of digital and print educational solutions, is looking for a Marketing Manager. The Marketing Manager will create and execute strategic marketing plans for select Higher Ed portfolios to achieve McGraw Hill Canada business objectives including revenue growth, increase in Connect digital usage, and strengthened retention via customer success.

What you will be doing:

  • Create and execute strategic marketing plans for select Higher Ed portfolios to grow revenue, increase digital usage of McGraw Hill’s Connect technology, and strengthen customer success. Marketing plans include specific strategies and tactics such as organizing & executing portfolio specific events & webinars, building awareness of McGraw Hill digital solutions/products at conferences, creating portfolio specific content to engage customers at various stages of their journey, and developing effective customer facing and internal sales enablement tools. Collaborate within the Canada Marketing team & with the Growth Enablement Digital Marketing team to achieve portfolio growth goals.
  • Partner with the Sales team to strategize on top opportunities by creating value that will help advance and win takeaway business, as well as convert existing business with new and/or deeper Connect usage. Engage with Higher Education instructors/key decision makers at top opportunities to better understand customer needs, and to support a team sell approach with these opportunities.
  • Develop deep customer understanding and insight through interactions with key customers, and collaboration with the Sales and Product teams to inform future marketing activities and priorities. Optimize the customer experience with engagement at various stages of the customer journey, from awareness, consideration, decision, to retention.
  • Nurture Higher Education instructors’ positive experience with Connect technology to develop McGraw Hill digital advocates. Increase the number of Canadian Digital Faculty Consultants (DFCs), or McGraw Hill advocates for select Higher Ed portfolios, that can share their digital success stories including quantitative and qualitative outcomes, positive experience, and/or testimonials. Manage and direct the portfolio specific DFC activities to strategically leverage and win new business at key opportunities.
  • Conduct regular competitive pricing analysis for select Higher Ed portfolios. Provide national pricing recommendations for McGraw Hill products including digital, print, and package product formats.

What you need to be considered:

  • 3+ Years combined sales and/or marketing experience (Higher Education industry preferable)
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Experience driving impact and delivering outcomes/results
  • Experience working with teams in an agile environment
  • Experience indirectly leading and motivating the work of others
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Applications, Salesforce (CRM), Tableau Dashboards & Reports, Qualtrics (survey software), Oracle PDH, Zoom, Teams
  • Ability to lead presentations of McGraw Hill digital solutions (ie Connect technology) including updated enhancements
  • Excellent interpersonal, presentation, and communication skills
  • Productive organizational skills
  • Strong financial acumen and decision-making skills
  • Ability to travel across Canada (approx. 20%)

The pay range for this position is between $70,000- $75,000 CAD annually, however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and location.  Additionally, a full range of medical and/or other benefits may be provided, depending on the position offered.
