About The Role
As VP of Finance, you will oversee the organization's financial operations, ensuring its financial health and sustainability. This role involves strategic financial planning, risk management, and establishing robust financial controls. The VP of Finance will report to the President and work closely with the executive team to drive the organization’s financial strategy and growth. We are looking for candidates that reside in Tennessee, North Carolina or South Carolina.

The Pay Range For This Role Is
140,000 - 150,000 USD per year(Remote)

About The Role
As VP of Finance, you will oversee the organization's financial operations, ensuring its financial health and sustainability. This role involves strategic financial planning, risk management, and establishing robust financial controls. The VP of Finance will report to the President and work closely with the executive team to drive the organization’s financial strategy and growth. We are looking for candidates that reside in Tennessee, North Carolina or South Carolina.
What You'll Do
- Develop and implement financial strategies that align with the organization’s goals.
- Provide insights and recommendations for long-term financial planning and decision-making. Prepare and present financial forecasts, budgets, and financial reports.
- Oversee the company’s financial operations, including accounting, budgeting, cash flow management, and treasury functions.
- Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting in accordance with regulatory requirements and compliance standards.
- Monitor financial performance, analyzing variances and taking corrective actions as needed. 3. Identify financial risks and develop strategies to mitigate them.
- Implement and maintain effective internal controls to safeguard company assets.
- Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements across all financial practices. Communicate financial performance and strategic initiatives to the board of directors, investors, and other stakeholders.
- Coordinate with external auditors and manage the annual audit process.
- Collaborate with other departments to drive revenue growth and operational efficiency.
- Assess potential mergers, acquisitions, and investment opportunities to support the company’s growth strategy.
- Build and lead a high-performing finance team, providing mentorship and professional development opportunities.
- Foster a culture of accountability and continuous improvement within the finance department.
- At least five years of experience in finance, with a focus on construction, general contracting, utility construction (gas, power, fiber optics) or related industries.
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or related field; MBA or relevant advanced degree preferred.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation is highly desirable.
- Proven experience in a VP of Finance role or similar financial leadership position.
- Strong knowledge of financial regulations, accounting standards, and financial management software. Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with a strategic mindset.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of building relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
- Must reside in Tennessee, North Carolina or South Carolina.
