We are looking for a senior level engineer to join the engineering experience and observability team. We provide tooling and infrastructure to support all engineering teams in the company, including the observability framework, micro-service development libraries, and tools to automate debugging. Our roadmap is to turbo-charge existing development flows with agentic tooling to transform tedious debugging tasks into smart dashboards that enable developers to focus on the bigger picture.

Key Responsibilities:
- Design and deliver robust, scalable internal platforms and services that enable fast, secure, and reliable software delivery.
- Manage individual projects and milestones with abundant communication of progress.
- Build automation that ensures microservices are secure, performant, and can be safely deployed to production.
- Lead technical strategy and execution for cross-team initiatives with high ambiguity and complexity.
- Mentor other engineers, carry out knowledge sharing sessions, and promote the culture of team growth.
- Competencies should be at a level where a manager can have high confidence in an engineer’s ability to deliver complex solutions on time on an agreed-upon roadmap and manage technical risks.
- Should be capable of working with product management to get requirements and drive technical feedback on complexity/approaches.
- Seek, give, and receive critical feedback in a constructive manner, including but not limited to code reviews.
- Engage in engineering on-call escalated support of services owned by the team.
- Stay on top of new technologies and incorporate our own AI solutions into our infrastructure workflows.
- 7+ years of proven experience writing high-quality code in a collaborative environment
- Technical Proficiency: Expertise in Python, hands-on experience with Kubernetes architecture, including scheduling, auto-scaling, networking.
- Strong systems design skills: ability to make thoughtful trade-offs between scalability, maintainability, and efficiency.
- Fundamental understanding of Kubernetes and Helm. Experience in building and running software systems on Kubernetes clusters in production
- Demonstrated ability to solve ambiguous, open-ended challenges and own them to completion across multiple teams.
- Experience improving reliability, availability, performance for a critical software subsystem.
- Excellent communication skills and a track record of cross-functional collaboration.
- Fluency in DevOps best practices, including CI/CD, observability, and secure software delivery pipelines.
- Strong track record of defining technical direction and influencing decisions without formal authority.
- Ability to track and report key delivery metrics to evaluate impact and guide improvements.
- Self-motivated and proactive, able to take ownership and deliver results.
- Ability and willingness to learn about new technologies.
- Personal drive to get things finished.
- Effective communication.
- Hands-on experience with infrastructure provisioning and configuration using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles
- Experience with OTEL
- Experience with AWS, Azure, and/or Google Cloud platforms
- CKAD (Certified Kubernetes Application Developer) certification
- Publicly reviewable contributions to interesting development projects
- Data Science experience
- Experience with Terraform
