Climb Channel Solutions, a specialty distributor focused on driving success with innovative vendors, value-added resellers, and managed service providers, is currently seeking qualified candidates to fill an open position on our Purchasing team. The buyer will collaborate with a designated list of vendors to ensure orders are accurately and promptly fulfilled. They will work closely with the inside sales team to resolve any issues and ensure successful order completion.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assist with onboarding new vendors to ensure a smooth integration process.
  • Cultivate strong relationships with assigned vendors and serve as their primary point of contact.
  • Demonstrate a clear understanding of the purchasing process, including billing guidelines and restrictions.
  • Make allowable updates to purchase orders to support accurate and timely order fulfillment.
  • Process order cancellations as requested.
  • Provide general sales support, including tracking shipments, updating sales teams on order statuses, and submitting product return requests to vendors within an acceptable service-level agreements (SLAs).
  • Apply strong problem-solving skills to resolve order-related issues in collaboration with Sales and Accounting teams.

Knowledge, Skills, and Experience:

  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Clear and effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with vendors and inside sales teams.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in order tracking and documentation.
  • Proactive problem-solving abilities and the capacity to work well under pressure.
  • Self-motivated, with the ability to show initiative.
  • Capable of working independently and collaboratively within a team environment.

Qualifications:

  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics is preferred but not required.
  • Experience with FreshDesk is a plus.
  • Understanding or experience with EDI order transmission is ideal.
