Job Description
Hearst Magazines’ Commerce Team is looking for a temporary designer to help shape the look and feel of shopping content across our iconic brands—from Cosmopolitan and ELLE to Good Housekeeping and Country Living. You’ll be part of a fast-paced editorial team working to create impactful and helpful shopping content for a variety and evolving list of platforms. This person should be available for a minimum of 15-20 hours/week through the end of the year and have 3-4 years of experience.

Responsibilities
- Design imagery for shopping stories to help elevate the visual experience of our content across various brands
- Partner with editors to develop reusable graphic templates for new distribution channels
- Produce short-form video and motion graphics for digital content, TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, and more
- Collaborate cross-functionally with editors, brand designers, and more to deliver timely, on-brand visuals
- 3-4 years of professional design experience, ideally in digital editorial environments
- Versatile and brand-savvy—you can switch styles effortlessly and quickly
- Strong visual storytelling skills across static, motion, and short-form video
- Working knowledge of the difference between SEO- and social-driven formats and how design impacts engagement and conversion
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, highly collaborative environment
- Experience using Figma, Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign
