We're looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our team. This role is crucial in ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of our month-end close process. The ideal candidate is a strong communicator and collaborator who thrives in a fast-paced environment and possesses excellent analytical skills.

We're looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our team. This role is crucial in ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of our month-end close process. The ideal candidate is a strong communicator and collaborator who thrives in a fast-paced environment and possesses excellent analytical skills.
In this role you'll have the opportunity to:
- Own the monthly close process and support financial & regulatory reporting
- Act as subject matter expert on complex accounting issues and provide solutions as appropriate
- Serve as the go-to person for financial reporting and monthly close presentations, including preparing variance analyses and commentary on financial results
- Perform complex analysis and articulate the financial & regulatory implications
- Identify and implement process improvements and automation within the accounting function to enhance efficiency and accuracy
- Support new initiatives and new product launches
- Manage relationships with various internal and external stakeholders and be the first touchpoint for issues and resolutions
- Participate in year-end audits and other audits, preparing supporting workpapers and promptly addressing questions
- Assist with ad hoc projects and other duties as assigned
- 3-5 years of full cycle accounting experience coupled with a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- CPA designation or equivalent experience
- Advanced knowledge of accounting principles
- Experience with applications and ERP systems, including Oracle, NetSuite, Excel, Word, Preset, and Google Suite
- Sound judgment with ability to manage conflicting priorities and provide advisory support
- Natural curiosity and investigative mindset to identify and resolve discrepancies
- Embraces innovation, automation, and continuous improvement initiatives
- Strong problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills with ability to connect across all organizational levels
- Ability to learn quickly, work under pressure, and meet strict deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Work experience in a CIRO (Canadian Investment Regulatory Organization) member firm (asset)
- Canadian Securities Course completion (asset)
