Technical Consultant (Construction Investigator)
About The Role
We’re looking for a Technical Consultant (Construction Investigator) who’s curious, analytical, and thrives in environments where the answer isn’t obvious. This is a client-facing role focused on problem-solving—digging into building issues, documenting what happened, and helping attorneys, insurers, and property owners make smart decisions.
At PFCS, we investigate construction claims and disputes. Our work blends field inspections, technical analysis, cost estimating, and written reporting. You’ll work alongside builders, architects, and engineers, learning how to translate real-world construction knowledge into clear, defensible conclusions.
If you're a seasoned project manager, superintendent, estimator, or inspector ready to pivot into consulting—this might be the career path you’ve been looking for.
What You’ll Do
PFCS is built for people who want to grow. We’re a team of builders, architects, and engineers who believe in being clear, thorough, and fair—especially when the stakes are high. We don’t just deliver reports—we help our clients understand what happened and what to do next.
We operate with integrity, invest in our team’s development, and take pride in being the calm, competent voice in the room. We work hard, stay curious, and support each other along the way.
