The Role:
The Health Outcomes Liaison (HOL) is a field-based medical colleague responsible for providing therapeutic area/product expertise for a designated therapeutic, with a primary focus on organized customers, including but not limited to Regional Payers, Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs), Specialty Pharmacy Providers (SPPs) and Population Based Decision Makers (PBDM). The responsibilities of the role are to contribute to Syndax’s ability to:
Syndax offers a total compensation and rewards package that is among the most competitive in the industry. Base pay is just one element of our package and is determined within a range based on several factors including market data, experience, qualifications, demonstrated skills, relevant education or training, travel requirements and internal equity. Our overall package also includes an equity offering, annual target bonuses, and an outstanding benefits program. The anticipated annualized salary range for this role is $235,000 - $265,000.

The Role:
The Health Outcomes Liaison (HOL) is a field-based medical colleague responsible for providing therapeutic area/product expertise for a designated therapeutic, with a primary focus on organized customers, including but not limited to Regional Payers, Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs), Specialty Pharmacy Providers (SPPs) and Population Based Decision Makers (PBDM). The responsibilities of the role are to contribute to Syndax’s ability to:
- Communicate new and other important approved medical content related to the safe and appropriate use of Syndax medicines to therapeutic area health care professionals (HCPs) in local, regional or national capacities, including therapeutic area HCP decision-makers at organized customers such as Medical Groups, Integrated Delivery Networks, Payers, Health Systems, etc., and engage in other approved communications in accordance with approved HOL guidance.
- Provide truthful, accurate and scientifically supported information in response to direct unsolicited medical requests from HCPs in a manner that complies with all applicable Syndax guidelines, policies, and procedures.
- Provide therapeutic area/product expertise for regional and other Medical Affairs and/or clinical development needs as approved by HOL leadership (e.g. formulary presentations, field force training, organized customer projects/collaborations, scientific congress participation, Syndax-sponsored research site / investigator interactions, TA/product expertise for Syndax-sponsored studies, IST inquiries etc.).
- Interact with HCPs in the region including therapeutic area HCPs affiliated with organized customers and KOLs within academic and community settings.
- Respond to medical questions regarding Syndax products for the designated therapeutic area and other Syndax medicines as appropriate.
- The HOL may be involved in presentations to payers, managed care organizations, formulary decision makers and regional medical advisory boards in accordance with the designated therapeutic area medical strategy.
- Facilitate communication between regional and national HCPs and headquarters Medical Affairs colleagues, and provide customer insights that contribute to the development of brand medical strategies as appropriate.
- Facilitate both Syndax sponsored and investigator-initiated studies activities in their regions as determined by the HQ Medical teams and in accordance with guidance.
- Engage in and develop relationships with KOLs within an assigned territory to discuss data related to Syndax molecules and future pipeline assets.
- Advanced degree required, preferably M.D., D.O., Pharm.D., Ph.D., APN, or PA.
- At least 3 years of experience in a Managed Care/PBM, VA/DoD, CMS, State Medicaid, health care consulting, pharmaceutical industry or related environment preferred.
- Completion of relevant Residency or Fellowship programs may be considered in lieu of some work experience.
- Account management experience is preferred.
- Required skills include strong scientific acumen, impactful communication skills, active listening skills, networking, relationship development, lead/influence without authority, business analysis skills, advanced technical expertise and business analysis skills, critical thinking, innovative problem-solving skills and negotiation skills.
