Required Qualifications:
- Current CPC, CCS, or RHIA certification with 5+ years of active coding experience
- Demonstrated proficiency in ICD10CM, ICD10PCS, CPT, and HCPCS Level I/II coding systems
- Minimum 3 years of direct providerside coding experience in an outpatient setting
- Bachelor’s degree in health information management, Healthcare Administration, or related field
- Act as the primary coding subject matter expert in the development of AIdriven medical coding automation solutions
- Provide expert guidance on coding workflow optimization and automation opportunities
- Validate accuracy of AIsuggested codes against industry standards and compliance requirements
- Develop and maintain coding quality metrics and assessment criteria
- Review and analyze coding patterns in incoming medical data for accuracy and consistency
- Multiple coding certifications (e.g., both CPC and CCS)
- Experience in multiple healthcare settings (inpatient, outpatient, ED)
- Previous experience in healthcare technology or software development environments
- Knowledge of revenue cycle management
- Familiarity with natural language processing (NLP) concepts
