We’re supporting a leading North American logistics and transportation provider with a search for an experienced Interim CIO / Senior VP of IT. This organization operates across specialized logistics, warehousing, and transportation services, serving customers in industries that require secure, high-value, and time-critical solutions.

The Interim IT leader will step in for 6–9 months to stabilize operations, define IT strategy, and help recruit a permanent replacement.

Location: Canada, USA, Europe, Latin America

Responsibilities

• Provide executive IT leadership at the CIO/SVP level, reporting directly to senior management.
• Assess current IT landscape, identify critical issues, and implement stabilization measures across infrastructure, applications, and cybersecurity.
• Define a clear IT roadmap aligned with business strategy, enabling growth, compliance, and operational efficiency.
• Lead and mentor IT teams to improve performance, accountability, and service delivery.
• Partner with business leaders across logistics, operations, and warehousing to ensure IT is a business enabler.
• Oversee vendor management, budgets, and SLAs, ensuring cost-effective and secure delivery.
  
  

Requirements

• Proven track record as a CIO, CTO, SVP of IT, or equivalent executive IT leader in medium to large organizations.
• Strong background in logistics, transportation, supply chain, or similarly complex operational industries (aviation, automotive, defense, manufacturing, 3PL are also relevant).
• Hands-on experience in IT operations, infrastructure, ERP/CRM systems, and cybersecurity.
• Demonstrated ability to stabilize IT environments and lead through transformation.
• Excellent communication and board-level stakeholder management skills.
