The Coordinator, Quality and Patient Safety will play a vital role in promoting and ensuring high standards of care within our behavioral health facilities. This position will oversee the manual processes related to quality improvement initiatives, patient safety, and compliance with regulatory standards. This role will collaborate with various departments to gather and analyze data, facilitate quality assurance activities, and support the development of strategies to enhance patient care and safety.
Position is remote.
Essential Functions:
Educational / Experience Requirements:
Subject to many interruptions. Occasional pressure due to multiple calls and inquiries. This position can be high paced and stressful; must be able to cope mentally and physically to atmosphere. Work require spending approximately 90% or more of the time inside a building that offers protection from weather conditions but not necessarily from temperature changes.

Essential Functions:
- Oversight of Quality Processes: Manage and maintain various quality-related logs and documentation, including RCA flows, major events data, and quality of care concerns.
- Data Management: Collect, analyze, and report on survey data, NHSN submissions (weekly and monthly), and other quality metrics to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Meeting Coordination: Organize and document quality and patient safety meetings, including validating of meeting minutes for quality meetings, Governing Board meetings, and other related committees.
- Compliance Tracking: Ensure that all quality and patient safety activities align with regulatory requirements and organizational standards.
- Training and Support: Assist in the development and implementation of training programs related to quality and patient safety initiatives for staff members.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the Senior Quality and Patient Safety Directors and other stakeholders to identify opportunities for improvement and implement best practices.
- Documentation: Maintain comprehensive records of quality improvement initiatives, patient safety activities, and related documentation for auditing purposes.
- Performs other duties and projects assigned.
Educational / Experience Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in healthcare, nursing, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in quality assurance, patient safety, or a related role within a healthcare or behavioral health setting.
- Strong understanding of regulatory requirements related to quality and patient safety in behavioral health.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, capable of working collaboratively with diverse teams.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and quality management software.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
