Responsibilities

Job Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and designers.
  • Check survey information is complete and ready for design.
  • Operate Autodesk AutoCAD with a high level of competency.
  • Prepare engineering drawings from rough sketches or from general engineering and design information according to established standards and procedures.
  • Import field data from GIS based systems into AutoCAD.
  • Uses theoretical and practical engineering knowledge when preparing engineering drawings.
  • Contributes to and implements design modifications to improve quality of projects and process improvements.
  • Communicate effectively internally and with external stakeholders.
  • Work in a team-oriented environment.
  • Excellent organizational, time management, and communication skills as well as the ability to adapt to change.

Qualifications

Qualifications

  • Associates degree with 1 year industry experience, or 5 years industry experience specializing in telecommunications and/or power systems.
  • Valid driver's license required with a clean driving record for the past 5 years.

Other Skills/Abilities

  • Proficiency in AutoCAD 2016 and above, MS Word, MS Excel and MS Outlook required.
  • Experience in ArcGIS or equivalent software is a plus.
  • Experience reading and comprehending construction plans.
  • Experience preparing construction sketches.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
  • Keen attention to detail.
  • Minimal travel will be required for this position.
  • Remote based position.
