ContractJob Title: Oracle Identity Management Application Support
3-month contract / Remote in British Columbia
Must hold a valid Canadian Work Visa
Our public sector client is interested in hiring an experienced analyst for its Application Security team to provide application support for their Oracle Identity Management Application. This person will be responsible for the administration, maintenance, and enhancement of our Oracle Identity Management platform. The person is critical to ensuring secure, efficient, and compliant identity lifecycle management across the enterprise.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and manage user provisioning / de-provisioning processes, role-based access controls, and approval workflows.
- Design, customize, and maintain connectors for integration with target systems and directories.
- Manage Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA) workflows and approval processes using Oracle SOA Suite.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues across OIM, WebLogic Server, and Oracle Database environments.
- Monitor system performance and conduct regular health checks, upgrades, and patches.
- Collaborate with security, infrastructure, and application teams to integrate OIM with enterprise applications.
- Ensure regulatory and internal compliance through access reviews, certifications, and audit reporting.
- Support and enhance delegated administration and role management capabilities.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation and standard operating procedures.
- Provide training and guidance to team members as required.
- Prepare weekly status reports, including hours worked, tasks completed, and upcoming priorities.
- Communicate assignment status clearly and in a timely manner to senior IT stakeholders and project management staff.
- Provide regular updates on deliverables and any changes impacting timelines.
- Deliver formal documentation in line with PMO methodologies and standards.
- Provide mentoring and knowledge transfer to internal staff on system setup, configuration, and support requirements.
Qualifications:
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field.
- 2+ years of experience administering Oracle Identity Manager in large enterprise environments.
- Strong hands-on experience with Oracle Identity Manager (11g / 12c preferred).
- Advanced knowledge of Java, J2EE, and OIM customization APIs.
- Experience with Oracle Identity Connector Framework (ICF) and connector development.
- Solid understanding of Oracle SOA Suite and workflow configuration.
- Proficiency in SQL, PL/SQL, and Oracle Database fundamentals.
- Experience with LDAP directories (OUD, OID, Active Directory).
- Strong skills in WebLogic Server administration and JVM performance tuning.
- Good understanding of identity security principles, RBAC, SoD policies, and regulatory compliance (SOX, GDPR, HIPAA).
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
Preferred:
- Oracle Certified Implementation Specialist designation.
- Familiarity with REST APIs and Web Services integration.
- Experience with Oracle BI Publisher or similar reporting tools.
- Exposure to change management and ITIL processes.
- Experience with hybrid or cloud-based IAM deployments.
- Strong interpersonal and client-facing skills, with the ability to build trust-based relationships.
- Highly organized, analytical, and collaborative, with the ability to act as the primary advocate for functional areas.
