The Manager, Reinsurance Operations is tasked with leading a team of analysts to effectively manage one or more reinsurance processes within the outsourcing team. This role leverages proven subject matter expertise to lead individuals to achieve client and department objectives and is highly accountable for their team's results. This role is highly visible to TAI's clients and business partners, and requires effective leadership and project management skills, with a focus on client service.
Principal Duties
$97,450.00 - $121,800.00 Annual
Base pay varies depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience and market location. In addition, RGA provides an annual bonus plan that includes all roles and some positions are eligible for participation in our long-term equity incentive plan. RGA also maintains a full range of health, retirement, and other employee benefits.

The Manager, Reinsurance Operations is tasked with leading a team of analysts to effectively manage one or more reinsurance processes within the outsourcing team. Principal Duties
- Accountable for one or more of the following processes Data analysis and issue investigation, Ceded system treaty set-up and changes, Policy investigation and correction, Retention management corrections, Review and clearing of exceptions in the ceded system.
- Responsible for implementing and monitoring functional metrics for various business processes in order to track process effectiveness and service quality.
- Managing and training staff to achieve desired business outcomes.
- Responsible for client issue prioritization, resolution, and communication.
- Leading audit projects for both internal and external auditors.
- Responsible for process and control review, evaluation, improvement, and documentation.
- Performs management reporting and ad hoc requests for clients and reinsurers.
- May assist in the preparation of quarterly or annual statements for clients.
- College or University Degree or equivalent work experience - Required
- University degree in computer science, actuarial science, finance, or accounting - Preferred
- FLMI, ACS, or ARA designation from LOMA certifications - Preferred
- Detailed understanding of reinsurance data, processes, and controls including retention management practices, treaty setup, interpretation, and compliance - Required
- Ability to manage a team in order to execute numerous business processes to completion, while demonstrating best practices, evidenced controls, and quality outcomes - Required
- Ability to manage competing deadlines and multiple client priorities while ensuring quality work is delivered in accordance with established service level agreements and timelines - Required

- Proven understanding of treasury processes including creation of outgoing wire and ACH payments, monitoring bank accounts for inbound cash, and bank account reconciliations - Required
- Proven understanding of accounting processes and controls including journal entry creation for reinsurance premiums and claims, reconciliations of cash, suspense, and other accounts, and preparation of trending reports and analysis - Required
