About CookUnity

Food has lost its soul to modern convenience. And with it, has lost the power to nourish, inspire, and connect us. So in 2018, CookUnity was founded as the first-of-its-kind platform that connects the world with the source of truly great food: chefs. Today, CookUnity delivers 35 million meals a year from the industry’s best chefs to homes all over the country. Fresh. Ready-to-eat. And crafted with the passion that nourishes body and soul.

Unwilling to stop there, CookUnity is expanding beyond delivery to become an ever-innovating marketplace focused on our singular mission: empower Chefs to nourish the world.

If that mission has you hungry in more ways than one, you’ve found the right job posting.

The role:

We are looking for an enthusiastic, independent, and creative Brand Activations & Partnerships Associate to support our local marketing initiatives. This freelance/part-time role is perfect for someone with a passion for brand marketing, event execution, and community engagement—who’s ready to roll up their sleeves and make big things happen on a small scale.

You will represent the CookUnity brand in the community, forge strategic hyper-local partnerships, and organize unique brand activations that drive awareness and customer acquisition.

If you’re someone who loves incredible food and is passionate about the culinary world, that energy will shine through in everything you do—and we believe it’s one of the most powerful ways to create authentic, memorable experiences.

Responsibilities:

  • Act as a local brand ambassador, embodying and promoting the CookUnity brand at events, pop-ups, and community activations.
  • Identify and initiate local partnerships with businesses, communities, influencers, and organizations.
  • Organize and execute small-scale brand activations, events, and sampling opportunities.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to support guerrilla marketing efforts—creative, low-budget, high-impact campaigns.
  • Help brainstorm and implement social media content ideas during events and activations.
  • Work autonomously to handle event logistics, scheduling, and coordination with limited oversight.
  • Be prepared to work evenings and weekends, as needed, based on event timing or opportunities.

Qualifications:

  • A can-do attitude with a scrappy, independent, and entrepreneurial spirit.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; comfortable with pitching and representing the brand in professional settings.
  • Ability to problem-solve in the moment, stay organized, and juggle multiple tasks.
  • A creative thinker with a strong eye for detail, especially for social content and event aesthetics.
  • Strong sense of professionalism—you’ll be the face of CookUnity in your community.
  • Must be comfortable working with minimal support, and independently managing logistics from planning to execution.

Preferred requirements:

  • Experience in brand marketing, public relations, event planning, or field marketing
  • Prior exposure to guerrilla marketing, grassroots campaigns, or local brand activations is a big bonus.

Opportunities

  • Work alongside some of Canada’s award-winning chefs and help bring their food to more people.
  • Make an impact on a fast-growing food tech company that’s reshaping the future of chef-led dining.
  • Flexible, freelance-friendly schedule with the ability to own your projects and be creative.
  • Join a mission-driven brand with a growing community of passionate food lovers and makers.
