The Opportunity
The Senior Analyst, Marketing Data Science, SMN, is an integral part of the Marketing Effectiveness team tasked with developing insights that enable Sephora to improve how marketing investments impact business results. You will work closely with our Retail Media Network team and brand marketing to deliver best-in-class data science to our internal and external business partners. This includes:
- Collaborating in developing highly Sephora customized Marketing Mix Modeling (MMM) projects involving specialized, nested regression models, forecasting optimization, and building dashboards and presentations to evaluate the performance of Onsite and Offsite Sephora Media Network performance
- Collaborate on day-to-day marketing effectiveness activities such as data delivery, analytics processes, interpretation of findings, insight delivery, and stakeholder alignment, with an emphasis on Marketing mix models
- Work with stakeholders to determine business needs and objectives, and then the Marketing Effectiveness team to design, develop, and complete analytical processes/solutions to derive insights that can address stakeholders’ stated objectives
- Actively consult stakeholders to validate and update as needed, a defined marketing effectiveness roadmap that outlines short-term and long-term business priorities
- Support the senior director with executive engagement materials and critical business needs.
- 2-4 years’ of Analytics experience
- Strong R or Python experience
- Strong SQL skills
- Paid Media marketing or analytics experience, either at a digital agency or client side.
- Knowledge of retail media network offsite (Paid Search, Display) and onsite (PLA and display) initiatives preferred
- Excellent communication skills – able to articulate findings that are not always straightforward or intuitive
- Great attention to detail, with the ability to dig deep into details while keeping focus on the primary business question at hand
- High sense of integrity and respect for others; experience working with cross-functional teams
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize workload without becoming overwhelmed
- Comfort with ambiguity; ability to thrive in an environment with rapid change
- Intellectual curiosity and willingness to accept feedback
