About the Position

Cologix is looking for a Senior Director to lead the charge on Marketing Communications, Press Relations and Campaign Strategy. This role is perfect for a big-picture thinker and storyteller who is also hands-on, experienced in both awareness and demand gen, and relentless about message clarity and consistency. You'll be the primary architect of how we show up in the market — from headlines to pipeline. The role reports to the Chief Marketing Officer.

What You Do Daily:

Messaging & Positioning

  • Responsible for the development of company, product and campaign messaging and storylines. The right candidate has a strong technology background, combined with a passion for storytelling
  • Refine Cologix's positioning and messaging to align with our go-to-market strategy.
  • The ideal candidate is an experienced writer and creative thinker who can maintain organization-wide consistency for written communication and message delivery
  • Partner across Marketing, Brand, Product, Sales and Executive teams to ensure unified positioning and messaging across all touchpoints
  • Ability to articulate complex technical concepts in terms that make sense to customers, partners, media and other key stakeholders

Content Strategy for Awareness & Demand Gen

  • Collaborate closely with Demand Gen, Product Marketing and Digital teams to ensure content supports pipeline growth and brand lift
  • Oversee strategy and execution of content to fuel both awareness and demand generation — including blogs, white papers, newsletters and thought leadership
  • Manage content writing resources and editorial calendars to create effective B2B content that elevates our awareness, drives demand and engages our audiences
  • Act as a creative champion for new, interesting content ideas
  • Edit and proofread all marketing content
  • Provide editorial support as needed across teams

Public Relations

  • Develop and execute our public relations strategy to raise the profile and reputation of the brand. Leverage your in-depth knowledge of current trends, practices and techniques in media engagement
  • Own the press strategy, calendar and execution of all announcements, in partnership with internal stakeholders and our PR agency
  • Manage our PR agency effectively to meet our annual objectives, including building relationships with key media and journalists, developing creative pitches, engaging target audiences and boosting brand awareness
  • Develop and execute public speaking strategy and calendar for leadership
  • Coach spokespeople for interviews, panels and events as needed
  • Develop and execute the awards strategy for the company
  • Track press impact and adjust strategies to maximize visibility and brand credibility

Demand Generation Campaign Strategy

  • Design integrated campaign strategies that align with business goals and drive qualified pipeline
  • Define campaign themes, core messaging and content needs; ensure consistency from top-of-funnel to conversion
  • Partner with Digital and Field Marketing teams to orchestrate cross-channel campaigns (email, paid, events, web, etc.)
  • Manage the campaign roadmap to ensure we capitalize on industry moments and product milestones
  • Manage Marketing Operations Senior Manager who is responsible for team reporting and insights
  • Measure performance and continuously optimize based on data-driven insights

What Makes You a Good Fit

  • 10+ years of relevant marketing experience in fields such as demand gen marketing, brand marketing, product marketing, technical marketing, journalism, public relations, technical writing and speechwriting, with at least 4 years in a senior leadership and management role
  • Deep experience in B2B tech, in sectors such as AI, data center, cloud or digital infrastructure
  • Degree in Marketing, PR, Communications, Journalism or related field of study highly preferred
  • Proven track record of managing PR agencies, media strategy and marketing communications
  • Strategic thinker with deep experience in integrated campaign planning and execution
  • Executive presence: you're a confident communicator and trusted partner to C-suite leaders.
  • Ability to think and communicate clearly to formulate a clear point of view on complicated issues and create a concise and well-written narrative to express it
  • Experienced leader able to prioritize across teams and requests as well as manage multiple projects simultaneously, under tight deadlines. Comfortable switching gears between strategy and execution as a hands-on leader
  • You are both the architect and the builder. You must thrive in environments where you roll up your sleeves and make a visible impact quickly
  • Proven track record in delivering sustainable improvements in marketing campaigns' ROI
  • Demonstrated history of crafting compelling positioning and marketing content, targeted to specific audiences
  • Comfortable editing and providing constructive feedback to peers and leaders
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with confidence to serve as the company's spokesperson
  • French language (spoken and written) a plus
