Lynker Corporation, in strategic partnership with Fisheries Immersed Science Hawaii (FISH) as the FLOAT - the "FISH" and "Lynker" Ocean Alliance Team Joint Venture, is seeking a Fisheries Biologist to support the NOAA NMFS Oregon-Washington Coastal Office (OWCO). The position focuses on ESA and MSA consultations, environmental impact assessments, and regulatory document preparation supporting species recovery and habitat protection in the Pacific Northwest. Work Location Off-site. Occasional in-person meetings or site visits in WA/OR and the broader West Coast.
Duties and Responsibilities
Analyze scientific and technical data to assess project impacts on ESA-listed species and habitats.
Draft Biological Opinions, Letters of Concurrence, MSA responses, and NEPA documentation.
Review Biological Assessments and advise action agencies with technical assistance.
Coordinate with engineers and evaluate habitat restoration proposals.
Participate in programmatic enrollment, documentation management, and stakeholder coordination.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree with 4 years’ experience or Master’s degree with 2 years in aquatic biology, fisheries, or related discipline.
Familiarity with salmonid life cycles, ESA Section 7, NEPA, and MSA.
Strong technical writing, editing, and communication skills.
Ability to work collaboratively with interagency teams.
Valid driver’s license required.
