The role will be a part of the MedTech Supply Chain Digital & Data Operations organization and will operationalize the day-to-day operations to support the strategy of the Data Operations function across franchises/business units, and regional geographies. This position will lead a team responsible for effective execution of regional/global/franchise Data Operations activities in alignment with the overall strategy and business stakeholder expectations. They will enable data operations by ensuring resources are appropriately allocated to prioritized business activities. The role will also include oversight of business process outsourcing model, value capture, metrics, operational reviews, end-to-end business capabilities and/or departmental talent strategy. Support the adherence to financial commitments by ensuring all budget management protocols are followed.

Key Responsibilities

  • The Data Operations team delivers trusted data to enable the launch & supply of products to our customers. Our key accountabilities include governance and maintenance of the Data Operations Framework; delivering a regulated and compliant data environment; using intelligent automation, workflow, process improvements, cross-segment expertise, and third-party suppliers to improve quality, timeliness, cost, and effort across Supply Chain; applying deep end-to-end knowledge and subject matter expertise to define, shape and implement supply chain strategies; and cultivating talent as a distinctive capability.
  • This position will own the development of solutions to sophisticated problems, exercising a high level of independent judgement to make decisions which directly impact the operational results of the department.
  • Engage strategically with business partners by providing appropriate guidance on data operations. Work with IT partners to resolve production issues. Support New Product launches and business initiatives requiring in-scope data.
  • Improve processes by strategically focusing on business outcomes. Drive prioritization based on business needs and strategy.
  • Proactive management of partner network. Drive strategic partner conversations and initiatives. Communicate comprehensive data operations metrics and dashboards.
  • Lead product development and management of automation tools and processes to improve data operations execution. Lead end-to-end process and technology re-engineering opportunities.
  • Own and lead regional data governance, including the definition and execution of Regional Data processes and standards. Includes deployment of the Data Management Framework.
  • Lead all aspects of daily operations and critical issues of data operations functions. Ensure SLAs exist and monitor response time. Lead and direct data quality, including discussions with partners to identify and implement improvements. Review and approve quality actions including Non-Conformance (NC) and/or Corrective Action Preventive Action (CAPA).
  • Lead, develop, and retain talent through development, coaching, and engagement. Provide mentorship, direction, development planning, and performance feedback in accordance with J&J Career Management processes.

Qualifications

Education: A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree and/or equivalent University degree required; Advanced degree preferred.

Required

  • Minimum eight (8) years of relevant professional work experience.
  • Strong business knowledge and understanding of Supply Chain data elements, process, and organizational support models
  • Data management experience in the context of large ERP platforms
  • A relevant mix of global, regional, cross-sector/industry experience
  • Strong written, oral, and presentation skills demonstrated by leveraging available tools and capabilities (e.g. AI, Excel, PowerPoint, Word…)
  • Excellent organizational and prioritization skills
  • Demonstrated ability to build strong collaborative relationships, influence multiple senior level stakeholders, and establish common goals and objectives without sacrificing outcomes
  • Ability to embed a culture of harmonization, process improvement, and value creation across business segments
  • Ability to manage multiple initiatives and work in a matrix environment where priorities change rapidly, and tight deadlines exist
  • Strong conflict resolution and negotiation skills
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and influence high performing teams
  • Creates E2E Connections, thinks strategically across complex processes
  • Skilled in process improvement, Six-Sigma, LEAN, Process Excellence certification

Preferred

  • Experience working with SAP and/or JDE and mass upload tools such as Winshuttle
  • Strong understanding of Data Quality principles
  • Management of third party supplier relationship(s)

The anticipated base pay range for this position is :

$137,000 - $235,750/yr.

Subject to the terms of their respective plans, employees and/or eligible dependents are eligible to participate in the following Company sponsored employee benefit programs: medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short- and long-term disability, business accident insurance, and group legal insurance. Subject to the terms of their respective plans, employees are eligible to participate in the Company’s consolidated retirement plan (pension) and savings plan (401(k)). This position is eligible to participate in the Company’s long-term incentive program.
