Programmer Analyst

On behalf of our public sector client, Affinity is looking for a Programmer Analyst who should have a strong development background in VB.NET or C# .NET and Crystal Reports with comprehensive knowledge of PL/SQL components such as database packages, procedures, triggers, and functions. They should also have strong understanding of Oracle database structures, schemas, and query building. Experience managing large projects/codebases in Visual Studio and coordinating updates to those projects among multiple developers with version control software is also required. Experience developing SSRS reports would be an asset.

Responsibilities:

The successful candidate must deliver the following to successfully complete the engagement:

• Problem identification and solution proposal: Analyze bug reports and/or change requests for modifications to existing functionality and propose solutions for fixes and/or updates to the support team.

• Solution development: Code and deploy approved solutions to problems throughout the appropriate areas of the technology stack (ie. VB.net, C#.net, Crystal Reports, Visual Studio, Database, triggers, PL/SQL).

• Application development: Develop new applications or components of applications to meet functional specifications as requested.

• Technical Documentation: Provide or update documentation per unit standards (to be provided as needed) to support bug fixes and/or implemented changes.

• Participate in team scrums

Qualifications:

Mandatory Requirements

• Minimum 7 years of IM/IT experience.

• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Programmer Analyst focused on the .NET stack.

• Spoken and written competence in English.

Scored Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of experience developing and maintaining VB .NET or C# .NET code.

• Minimum 3 years of experience developing and maintaining Crystal Reports.

• Minimum 5 years of experience interpreting and defining Oracle database table and field specifications for complex systems.

• Minimum 5 years of experience reading and analyzing complex database schemas.

• Minimum 3 years of experience managing large projects/codebases in Visual Studio and coordinating updates with version control software.

• Minimum 3 years of experience with Oracle PL/SQL, including creation, maintenance, and debugging of advanced packages, procedures, functions, and triggers.

• Minimum 1 year of experience developing and maintaining SSRS Reports.

• Minimum 3 years of experience working with distributed teams across multiple disciplines (Business Analysts, DBAs, Developers, and end users).

• Minimum 3 years of experience requiring strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to tailor messages to technical and non-technical audiences.

• Experience working in a team environment focused on support and maintenance, demonstrating strong interpersonal skills.
