Position Overview
The Healthcare Project Manager plays a pivotal leadership role, integrating strategic project oversight with workforce planning to drive operational excellence. This position manages cross-functional healthcare initiatives while ensuring optimal staffing to support high-quality care delivery and organizational performance.
The Project Manager works closely with department leaders, HR, and executive teams to align project execution and workforce strategies with CPC’s mission and goals.

This position manages cross-functional healthcare initiatives while ensuring optimal staffing to support high-quality care delivery and organizational performance.
The Project Manager works closely with department leaders, HR, and executive teams to align project execution and workforce strategies with CPC’s mission and goals.
Key Responsibilities
Project & Workforce Management
- Lead planning, execution, and delivery of strategic healthcare initiatives aligned with clinical and operational goals
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project scope, timelines, deliverables, and resource needs
- Integrate workforce planning into project execution for optimal staffing and resource allocation
- Monitor project performance and budgets while adjusting staffing strategies as needed
- Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations (e.g., HIPAA, CMS, JCAHO) and labor standards
- Design and implement workforce plans to meet short- and long-term staffing needs
- Oversee scheduling to balance workload demands and budget constraints
- Analyze workforce data and productivity metrics to inform staffing and process improvement
- Partner with HR on recruitment, retention, performance management, and staff development
- Conduct post-project reviews to evaluate outcomes and refine future workforce strategies
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business, or related field (Master’s preferred)
- Minimum 2–3 years of experience in clinical operations, healthcare project management, or workforce management
- PMP certification or equivalent strongly preferred
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, PowerPoint)
- EMR experience (Athena Health preferred)
- Familiarity with workforce management tools (e.g., Paylocity, MS Project, Smartsheet)
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- In-depth knowledge of healthcare operations, staffing models, and compliance standards
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities independently
- Primarily remote with regular collaboration across clinical and administrative departments
- Occasional travel to clinical or satellite locations as needed
- Hybrid or remote work options may be available based on organizational needs
