This role can be done from home

That’s why we’ve been distributed from the start: initially between offices in Boston & Santa Barbara, and now with additional offices around the globe. A Global Event Producer is responsible for developing and delivering educational activations both in-person and digitally across the globe to our Professional partner and channel audiences. This role requires a deep understanding of event activations as well as how our products and brand need to be presented during such opportunities. This role would require cross-functional collaboration with not only other teams at Sonos, but agency and brand partners as well. . The base pay range for this role based off geographic location is:
$82,000 and $103,000
The specific pay offered will depend on the candidate’s geographic location, as well as qualifications and experience. We apply geographic pay differentials based on the cost of labor in the market. Employees in high-cost locations may be compensated at the upper end of the range, while those in medium or low cost markets may be compensated at the lower end of the range. Your recruiter can provide more details about the specific salary range for your location during the hiring process.

What You Will Do:
- Own and plan experiences during all events where Sonos education and sales activities would be provided to external partners within the Professional and Retail channels.
- Develop contingency plans that allow for efficient event activation support to limit single points of failure.
- Partner with the Professional, Retail Marketing, and Brand Design teams to ensure all educational activities are in-line with our greater marketing and brand strategy.
- Collaborate remotely and in-person to innovate how the Global Education Team connects with our audiences to make our training activities the most enjoyable and fulfilling educational experiences in the industry.
- Collaborate cross functionally with key internal and external stake holders to effectively and efficiently deliver educational and event activations.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to ensure creative vision and production standards are consistently met.
- Manage timelines and production schedules, anticipate potential challenges, and proactively implement solutions to avoid disruptions.
- Oversee technical production phases by reviewing working drawings and providing reference materials during production meetings
- Partner with the project lead in shepherding the technical design progress during all phases, i.e., by defining proof-of-concept mockups, delivering layouts and/or wiring diagrams, redlining graphics, drawings or 3D models to communicate notes to external agencies & architects.
- Supervise onsite production during the construction, installation, & programming phase providing real-time leadership and decision-making to ensure smooth operations and a high-quality attendee experience.
- Keep up with industry trends and technology to ensure that the team is the authority on any topic that complements or competes with Sonos.
- Track event budgets from initial planning through post-event reconciliation, ensuring accurate forecasting and cost control throughout the process.
- Work closely with internal stakeholders to align budget allocations with event goals and organizational priorities.
- Monitor all expenses in real time, proactively identifying and addressing potential overages or cost-saving opportunities.
Basic Qualifications:
- Demonstrated experience building and supporting event activations with both technical and creative applications with a strong combination of practical field and leadership experience.
- Effective experience creating wiring diagrams for audio, video, and networking applications.
- Proficient understanding of managed network systems including but not limited to Netgear, Ubiquiti, and Cisco systems.
- Proficient understanding of low voltage wire installation and termination.
- The ability to travel throughout North America, Europe, Asia, Africa, and Australia for in-person training events and activations on a monthly basis.
- Excellent organizing skills using digital tools such as Asana and Google suite.
- Language fluency in English.
- 3-5 years of experience in the audio, video, and networking installation field.
- Proficiency in writing in a clear and conversational style
- Effective experience in editing audio and video files.
- Strong knowledge of diagramming tools such as Lucidchart, and digital design tools such as Adobe Photoshop, After Effects, Premiere, etc. (note: we’re not bound to a specific program).
- Effective experience in researching and procuring appropriate tools to deliver educational and event experiences to successfully achieve project goals.
- In-field experience with event production to ensure quality and final delivery.
- Humility to identify opportunities in oneself and the team.
- A passion for consumer and professional electronics.
- Experience collaborating with teammates and cross-functional teams.
- A curiosity to learn new skills and a dedication to master those skills.

- Additional language fluency in Spanish, French, German, Japanese.
