VetsEZ is seeking a remote Automation Tester to be a part of a team supporting the Department of Veterans Affairs. The ideal candidate will oversee the testing lifecycle for software solutions and will lead a team of testers to ensure that all software deliverables meet the highest standards of quality, functionality, and performance.

The candidate must reside within the continental US.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and execute automated test scripts using tools such as Cypress, Playwright, and JIRA.
  • Analyze requirements and translate them into detailed test cases and testing scenarios.
  • Conduct functional, regression, and performance testing across production and non-production environments.
  • Identify, report, and track defects using clear documentation and reproducible steps.
  • Collaborate with development teams to ensure seamless testing integration and continuous delivery.
  • Perform manual testing when needed and validate code changes using GitHub workflows.
  • Maintain and improve test automation frameworks and documentation.
  • Stay current with emerging testing tools, techniques, and best practices.
  • Take on additional tasks and responsibilities as needed to support team objectives and ensure the success of the project.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or an equivalent discipline.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience is required.
  • Hands-on experience with Cypress, Playwright, JIRA, Jenkins, and version control tools like GitHub.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages such as Java or Python, and working knowledge of SQL.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills within cross-functional teams.

Additional Qualifications

  • Experience working with Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) or other federal agencies.
  • Experience in SAFe/Agile Software Development.
  • Ability to work effectively in a multi-stakeholder and DevSecOps environment.
  • Ability to obtain a government clearance.
