Arisa Health is growing and we are looking to add a Part Time Medical Records Coordinator to our team in Arkansas. The position will be responsible for managing clients' health records and history. This includes creating digital copies of client paperwork and scanning/storing documents in the electronic health record and imaging paper charts and records into the electronic health record.

Formed by the affiliation of 4 long-standing Arkansas community mental health centers, Arisa Health leads with exceptional care that nurtures health and well-being for all. Arisa provides outpatient services, Crisis services and emergency screening, substance abuse counseling, intensive children services, intensive adult services, medical services, and residential services in 41 Arkansas counties.

This position is classified as part time, non-exempt (hourly) and reports to the Health Information Manager.

Work Hours: Full time, Monday - Friday; Hours during the times of 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

What Our Medical Records Coordinator Do

  • Processes client discharges in full within the EHR by reviewing and finalizing documentation, updating client status, and coordinating with clinical staff to resolve any outstanding issues.
  • Processes releases of intakes and other necessary documents for Arisa’s Federal Probation contracts
  • Create digital copies of scanned information received into the client's electronic health record.
  • Collect and sort records and documentation received via internal and external sources.
  • Scan paper records into the electronic health record.
  • Process requests from payers, facilities, and other healthcare entities for access to medical records.

What We Look For In a Medical Records Coordinator

  • Associates Degree
  • 1-2 years experience in a medical office environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Excellent record keeping, filing, and typing skills.
  • Ability to work independently, establish priorities and organize workload.
  • General knowledge of internet navigation and research, email, fax transmission, and copy equipment.
  • Knowledge of HIPAA and confidentiality regulations.
