Job Description

First Stop Health is seeking a strategic and systems-minded VP of IT to own the vision, roadmap, and delivery model for our enterprise technology stack. This person will drive cross-functional alignment and transformation by integrating third-party platforms, automation, and AI into a cohesive ecosystem that powers scale and operational excellence. Partnering closely with executive leadership, they will lead a remote team across product, data, analytics, and IT support, ensuring our tools and systems are secure, scalable, and deeply aligned to business outcomes. With a product mindset, this leader will champion intelligent workflows, enable data-driven decision-making, and foster an agile, compliance-forward tech environment that supports our mission and our greatest asset - our people.

The ideal candidate will be an enthusiastic, service focused, detail oriented, self-starter that can iterate, create, and define functional goals for the departments overseen. This person must have a strong desire to support our mission of providing affordable, easy access to healthcare. Ultimately, this person must drive short- and long-term results with a high-level of personal accountability and a strong sense of leadership and interest in developing the new and existing talent.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership

  • Own the vision, roadmap, and delivery model for our 3rd party tech stack organization wide
  • Partner with across the organization to identify high-leverage opportunities for scale, automation, and AI enablement & 3rd party software
  • Translate executive priorities into tech-enabled execution and enterprise-wide transformation
  • Serve as a thought partner to the head of operations and other executives on system design and business architecture
  • Ensure business systems are optimized and delivered for scale

IT Transformation

  • Lead a cross-functional team including Salesforce and internal tools product owners, automation engineers, analytics, and data integration staff
  • Instill a product mindset: clear backlog management, stakeholder engagement, and outcomes-driven delivery to drive enterprise value across our teams
  • Ensure 3rd party platforms like Salesforce, Salesforce Service Cloud, Snowflake, et al are orchestrated as one ecosystem—not standalone tools
  • Lead tool evaluation and implementation projects to ensure teams are using the right tools for the right jobs
  • Lead the tech support teams at First Stop Health

Cross-System Integration & AI Enablement

  • Oversee the development of intelligent workflows across intake, routing, support, data flows, and reporting
  • Drive the adoption of automation frameworks, LLM-based agents, and workflow co-pilots
  • Interface with internal and external engineering teams to ensure clean, secure, scalable architecture
  • Oversee the definition and deployment of low code solutions to enable First Stop Health teams to improve efficiency

Data & Reporting Infrastructure

  • Lead the evolution of our enterprise data stack—from pipeline integrity to dashboard usability
  • Ensure the analytics team is supported with reliable semantic layers and business logic
  • Build scalable models for outbound reporting, client analytics, and clinical savings analysis in partnership with GTM and Ops
  • Lead evolution of data quality and data governance functions

Infrastructure & Governance

  • Oversee system security, vendor management, compliance posture (HIPAA, SOC2), and identity/access management
  • Ensure the org meets IT audit requirements while prioritizing agility and business enablement

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s and/or Master’s degree preferred
  • 10+ years of experience in technology, platform, or transformation leadership roles
  • 3+ years in a VP-level seat or equivalent scope of ownership
  • Experience leading multi-functional teams (product, engineering, analytics, automation)
  • Deep familiarity with internal platform management (Salesforce, data warehouses, workflow tools, etc.)
  • Healthcare experience strongly preferred (payer, provider, virtual care, or healthtech vendor)
  • Demonstrated success in building product-driven, business-embedded IT/tech organizations
  • Familiarity with Salesforce ecosystem
  • Deep sense of empathy
  • Experience with AI/ML tool deployment in real-world operations
  • Previous exposure to member-facing or provider-facing virtual care infrastructure
  • Comfort working in mid-sized growth orgs (100–500 people) with matrixed teams
