Key Account Manager – Vaccines – Eastern & Central Ontario
Reporting to the Canada Country Manager, this field-based Key Account
Manager (Eastern & Central Ontario) role is responsible for all facets of account management, contract negotiations and promotion of the Bavarian Nordic vaccines. This position will be responsible for creating and implementing short and long-term business plans working cross functionally.

Key Account Manager – Vaccines – Eastern & Central Ontario

Manager (Eastern & Central Ontario) role is responsible for all facets of account management, contract negotiations and promotion of the Bavarian Nordic vaccines. This position will be responsible for creating and implementing short and long-term business plans working cross functionally.
Your Responsibilities
- Increase Bavarian Nordic awareness in the Canadian market and promote Bavarian Nordic vaccines to achieve sales targets
- Establish strong professional relationships with key stakeholders and accounts, including private clinics, pharmacy banners, GPs, pharmacists, nurses, business managers and vaccine associations
- Identify the cascade of influence for high potential prescribing HCPs and their vaccination practices to have a targeted business management approach
- Collaborate with the cross functional team including Product Strategy and execute innovative solutions to address care gaps and improve patient outcomes
- Identifying and analyzing business opportunities by using data and field intelligence to promote sales growth while ensuring alignment with brand strategic plan
- Regular monitoring of territory plans and proactively recommending adjustment plans if required
- Embrace accountability and empowerment and foster rapid decisions and implementation of solutions in close collaboration with the internal team
- Work cross functionally with contracting to monitor timelines for contract/tender renewals and assist in developing contracts for key regional accounts
- Serve as a subject matter expert on account planning and competitive landscape for key regional accounts
- Represent Bavarian Nordic at industry associations or national conferences as needed
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university
- 5+ years of professional pharmaceutical industry/relevant experience; including knowledge of the Canadian health care system
- Self-starter and have an entrepreneurial mindset
- Ability to identify and build relationships with key decision-makers within assigned accounts
- Sales & Negotiation skills. Track record in consistently achieving/exceeding sales targets
- Exceptional communication skills that include verbal, written and presentation abilities
- Experience in Account Planning and Territory Management
- Demonstrate effectiveness operating in a field-based position at multiple levels
- Experience in vaccine therapeutic area an asset
- Valid driver's license
