Role SummaryWe are seeking a seasoned Director of FP&A to oversee and enhance our financial planning, reporting, and operations across a dynamic portfolio of ambulatory surgery centers (ASCs). This individual will play a critical role in partnering with operational leadership, driving financial discipline, and supporting scalable growth through data-driven insights and optimized financial processes.
What You’ll DoFinancial Strategy & Planning
- Lead the development of financial strategies that align with the company's long-term growth plans, partnering closely with executive leadership to provide clear financial direction and support for key business initiatives
- Build and maintain dynamic financial models to evaluate business opportunities, capital investments, and strategic decisions, incorporating both historical data and market assumptions
- Provide in-depth financial analysis and scenario planning to guide leadership through complex decision-making, capital allocation, and expansion planning
Budgeting & Forecasting
- Direct the annual budgeting process for corporate functions and individual ASCs, ensuring alignment with strategic goals and operational realities
- Establish and manage a structured forecasting process, providing monthly and quarterly updates that reflect business performance, market trends, and operational shifts
- Collaborate with operational leaders and clinical teams to monitor performance against budget, investigate variances, and recommend corrective actions when needed
Financial Reporting & Performance Monitoring
- Design and deliver accurate, timely, and insightful financial reports and dashboards to help leadership monitor trends, identify issues, and evaluate center-level and organizational performance
- Develop and maintain key financial metrics (KPIs) that support operational transparency and accountability, including cost per case, margin analysis, and labor efficiency
- Support executive and board-level reporting by preparing consolidated financial summaries, narratives, and presentations that highlight key performance drivers
Process Improvement & Financial Systems
- Evaluate existing financial workflows, tools, and reporting structures to identify opportunities for automation, standardization, and increased efficiency
- Lead the implementation of process enhancements and systems upgrades to support the scalability of financial operations as the company grows
- Maintain robust internal controls and ensure adherence to company policies, GAAP standards, and regulatory compliance, while fostering a culture of continuous improvement
Partnership & Cross-Functional Leadership
- Act as a strategic finance business partner to the Operations team, translating financial data into operational insights and ensuring financial considerations are integrated into day-to-day and long-term planning
- Build strong working relationships with clinical and administrative teams to understand business drivers, align financial practices with operational goals, and support local leadership in achieving financial targets
- Provide coaching and mentorship to junior finance staff, fostering a high-performance finance team focused on accuracy, collaboration, and service to internal stakeholders
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field is required; MBA or CPA strongly preferred
- Minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in financial leadership roles, ideally within healthcare, ASC, or multi-site environments
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial modeling; experience with ERP or financial planning systems a plus
- Demonstrated ability to synthesize complex data and deliver actionable insights to senior stakeholders
- Strong project management, organizational, and communication skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- A strategic mindset grounded in rigorous financial discipline and operational awareness

Our salary ranges are based on role, level, and location, and may vary by state. In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for an annual performance-based bonus. Actual compensation will vary based on experience, qualifications, and company and individual performance.
