This is a unique opportunity to shape our data engineering capabilities as the company scales, establishing best practices and laying the foundation for how GovSignals handles and leverages data across all business functions.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Build & Maintain Scalable Data Pipelines: Construct robust pipelines to collect, cleanse, transform, and integrate diverse data sources.
  • Data Models & Ontologies: Design and implement ontologies, data models, and schemas for efficient storage, retrieval, and analysis of complex datasets.
  • Data Structures & Governance: Oversee governance, security, lineage, and lifecycle management to ensure regulatory compliance and data integrity.
  • Collaboration & Best Practices: Partner with cross-functional teams to define and uphold best practices for data management and governance.
  • Creative Problem-Solving: Innovate solutions to complex data challenges, enabling advanced analytics in a fast-moving startup environment.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Drive to propose and pioneer unique solutions to complex problems from design to implementation.
  • Expertise in AI such as experience with LLMs and Embedding models and integrating these into large functional systems.
  • Excellent collaboration and problem-solving skills, combining technical communication with adaptability in a dynamic startup environment.
  • Excitement to work with Data and help us redefine government contracting.
