Description

We are looking for a Scrum Master and Agile Coach who loves to work with others and excels at working in a fast paced environment where the only constant is change. You will be responsible for organizing, coaching and facilitating the development of our mobile event platform for iOS, Android, Backend and Web to clients across North America and beyond. Your role will touch every part of the product life-cycle from requirements to releases as you work directly with Product Managers and Engineering teams.

This is a full-time remote position working Pacific Standard Timezone hours. Please note that we can only consider candidates who reside in Canada with valid working status.

What You'll Do

  • Champion, coach, and communicate the value of Agile Scrum Methodology; adapting the process to fit Eventbase’s needs
  • Work with stakeholders, including Product Owners, Designers and Engineering teams to define, write, and organize high level project requirements into actionable Epics and Stories
  • Ensure Epics have well-defined User Stories and Acceptance Criteria
  • Educate understanding of Agile through coaching to embrace and embed lean and agile practices company-wide
  • Work with Engineering teams to track and determine team metrics
  • Assist in scheduling stories in Sprint iterations according to priorities provided by stakeholders
  • Facilitate daily stand-ups, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and retrospectives
  • Empower team members to run agile ceremonies on their own
  • Empower teams to become self-organized and deliver on their sprint commitments
  • Facilitate changes of stories mid-sprint, and ensure visibility of commitment changes to stakeholders
  • Organize Sprint retrospectives and planning; capture deltas into actionable tasks and track status
  • Organize end-of-sprint Product demos; collect feedback and input into future sprint iterations
  • Assist teams in refining backlogs of Stories
  • Oversee the release planning, scheduling, and management process
  • Develop and manage the release calendar and schedule
  • Coordinate with various teams (development, testing, product) to align release timelines and ensure that all teams are working towards the same goals

What You Bring

  • 5+ years of experience as a Scrum Master
  • Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or Professional Scrum Master (PSM)
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills, and the ability to work with diverse personality types
  • Approachable, positive attitude and always offering constructive ways forward
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Expertise in Jira/Confluence and Spreadsheets
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in English
