Our Mission
At Sohar Health, we're a mission-driven team using data to make healthcare more accessible and equitable. With investors such as Y-Combinator, Kindred Capital, and Rebel Fund, we are a VC-backed market leader in automating front-end Revenue Cycle Management (RCM). Our API-based solutions provide the necessary tools for healthcare providers to maximize revenue and improve patient experiences through faster, data-driven insights and streamlined insurance workflows.
Role Summary
We are looking for a Founding Technical Product Manager to lead the development and continuous improvement of our Verification product - the heartbeat of how Sohar surfaces accurate insurance data. This role blends deep technical curiosity, product intuition, and a bias for shipping. You’ll work closely with engineering and operations to drive measurable improvements to system reliability, latency, and data accuracy.
You’ll be expected to become a domain expert in healthcare insurance data , design and execute with AI-native tooling , and uncover insights that help us better understand our systems and our users. This is a hands-on, high-impact role ideal for someone who thrives in ambiguous, fast-paced environments and wants full ownership of a critical product.
This role is a remote position, based in London, UK or East Coast, US.
Responsibilities
Own the Verification Product: Lead the roadmap, design, and delivery of our Verification infrastructure—improving speed, reducing error rates, and driving better patient conversions.
Master the Domain: Rapidly become an expert in healthcare insurance verification, understanding nuances like MCOs, parent plans, and carve-outs to guide product decisions confidently.
Instrument and Investigate: Use data tools like Metabase and Grafana to monitor system performance, spot anomalies, debug issues, and influence product prioritization.
Deliver Practical AI Capabilities: Work closely with engineering to deploy LLMs and ML models in production—improving how we extract, validate, and match insurance data. Drive the balance between experimentation and rigor.
Partner Cross-Functionally: Act as the connective tissue between engineering, operations, and customers—translating system behavior into solutions that improve outcomes.
Qualifications
Experience: 5–8 years in product management, technical program management, or hybrid roles, ideally with a focus on API-based products. Experience in healthcare is a bonus.
Technical Fluency: Comfortable with system logs, telemetry, data debugging, and API design; prior experience working with engineers on backend or API products.
AI/LLM Curiosity: Proven ability to ship or lead features powered by ML/LLMs. Bonus if you understand context construction, prompt tuning, and evaluation pipelines.
Data Mindset: You think in dashboards, KPIs, and hypotheses. You’ve driven product direction through instrumentation and data storytelling.
Resourcefulness: You're scrappy, practical, and thrive in fast-moving environments where constraints are the norm.
Communication: You can clearly articulate tradeoffs and priorities to both technical and non-technical audiences.
This role is a remote position , based in London, UK or East Coast, US.
