Overview
This job helps REI succeed by leading the design, development, and delivery of key business capabilities. These capabilities will support REI’s future Co-op Brands (Private Label) strategies and initiatives. Using exceptional collaboration skills and a merchandising background, you will work with Co-op Brands teams. You will also work with Information Technology and the larger REI business community to design, deliver, and support new business capabilities.
The SBPA role guides future solution design and supports current Co-op Brands applications. This role uses a deep understanding of Co-op Brands business goals, processes, and operations. It combines technical skills, a process improvement mindset, and project management to deliver value and insights. The SBPA helps evaluate and prioritize projects within budget, resources, and REI's requirements. The focus is on growing sales and margin, increasing efficiency, and improving end-to-end processes. The role also offers product expertise to the organization.

Pay Range
$98,300.00 - $140,400.00 per year

Responsibilities And Qualifications
- Manages and participates in business process design workshops. Advocates for business users and understands industry-leading best practices across multiple merchandising disciplines. Enables these best practices.
- Partners with technology teams to support all Merchandising & Co-op Brands strategies and initiatives
- Interprets business needs. Builds business requirements or user stories. Guides solution development for Merchandising & Co-op Brands teams.
- Prepare requirements, functional specifications, user stories, business processes, and requests for proposals (RFPs) associated with Merchandising & Co-op Brands projects
- Develop and maintain complete knowledge and documentation of Co-op Brands' current and future processes, gaps, pain points, and applications. Include business functionality, interfaces, data flow, and functional architecture.
- Manage backlog grooming/prioritization sessions to ensure sign-off by business and development teams
- 3+ years professional experience preferably in Merchandising, product design & development, process improvement or similar for related business units.
- 3+ years of project-oriented experience in Merchandising, Supply Chain, or Retail Operations
- Experience with Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) solutions such as Enovia, Centric, or similar. Experience with SAP and enterprise Merchandising solutions such as o9, Blue Yonder, Oracle, JDA, or similar.
- Certification or deep knowledge of PMP, Scrum, Agile and SAFe project frameworks preferred
- Demonstrated experience with facilitating end-user sessions
- Demonstrated ability to self-educate and learn while doing in a highly complex and rapidly changing environment
- Project management skills include creating project plans and timelines. Ability to manage multiple programs at the same time. Drive completion of action items on time.
- Proficient presentation materials development and delivery including sr. management presentations
- Effective and articulate communication in all modes and all levels in an organization.
