JOB SUMMARY

This job is responsible for the development and product management of a service and or analytic product within the organization with a unique focus on the applicable business unit. The incumbent is the primary point of contact to agile, large cross-functional teams on behalf of the customer to identify the product requirements for development. The incumbent contributes to ensuring the product's ability to produce business value by focusing on the translation of strategy to agile execution. Oversees priority, scope and the validation of work that is required in order to deliver a quality product. Candidates will need a deep understanding of the product, the market, business strategy and operating model. Responsible for the alignment with product management leadership, direct stakeholder involvement and support of the primary business objectives for the organization.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Support Product Owner in prioritizing team backlog and sprint planning; clearly articulate team backlog items and acceptance criteria to the team. Translate business language into technical deliverables; Work side by side with the Product Owner to breakdown features into user stories. Independently build user stories
  • Gain and demonstrate working knowledge of product domain and integration with other product domains, in order to participate with the design, development, testing, and evaluation of products.
  • Work closely with development teams to ensure alignment with product goals; convey the vision and goals at the beginning of every release and sprint. Collaborate with Product Owner to understand and support the product vision, strategy, and roadmap. Solicit and incorporate stakeholder feedback when needed or as directed by the Product Owner or Product Manager.
  • Responsible for Definition of "Done" (DOD) activities, take responsibility for closing those DOD activities determined to be done by the Product Owner. Communicate DOD activities to identified release management team member.
  • Assist with prioritizing the product backlog for a given sprint, ensuring that the most important requirements are always being worked on.
  • Accountable for scope management, including defining units of value measurement and tracking performance against established goals.
  • Participates in the daily scrums, sprint planning meetings and sprint reviews and retrospectives.
  • Prepares for the sprint-planning meeting. This includes progressively decomposing and prioritizing requirements prior to the meeting.
  • Understands customer needs and familiarity with the customer business objectives as defined by the Product Owner
  • Other duties as assigned or requested.

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Healthcare Discipline, or Information Management

  • Basic knowledge of how software is developed and deployed; including reading and understanding data models
  • Understand the Technology Stack (UX, Middle, Backend) and how the tech stack is leveraged to deliver the "how" for the business "what"
  • Translate business requirements into technical specifications; storytelling
  • Basic analytical and decision-making skills

Pay Range Minimum

$67,500.00

Pay Range Maximum

$126,000.00

Base pay is determined by a variety of factors including a candidate’s qualifications, experience, and expected contributions, as well as internal peer equity, market, and business considerations. The displayed salary range does not reflect any geographic differential Highmark may apply for certain locations based upon comparative markets.
