Description

The Data Visualization Specialist is responsible for creating analysis, reports, and dashboards based on a wide range of data sets. Datasets involve hospital finances, billing claims, workforce, survey, user-provided data, and more.

Responsibilities

  • Translate data requests into accessible written and visualized analysis.
  • Create dynamic Power BI-based dashboards for public and private consumption.
  • Perform analysis of datasets using Microsoft Fabric and PySpark.
  • Manage collaboration with staff and members to determine requirements for creating reports.
  • Develop reporting standards for all reporting projects.
  • Provide feedback and suggestions to managers of data pipeline to improve efficiency.
  • Able to work independently with minimal direction.
  • Work closely with the Director of Data Analytics and the data team to develop and maintain data and visualization standards.
  • Train end users on visualizations and other produced analysis.
  • Manage the distribution, tracking, and analysis of numerous member-focused surveys.

Requirements

Required Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience using Power BI in a professional environment. Samples or examples of work are welcome.
  • An eye for detail and a passion for accuracy.
  • Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work well on a team
  • Great time management skills, and experience handling competing interests and desires of coworkers or associated parties.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working with healthcare related datasets.
  • Experience writing SQL-style queries.
  • Experience using Python for data analysis.
  • Experience analyzing data with PySpark, preferably in the Microsoft Fabric environment.
