About Carter:

Carter is rethinking adtech infrastructure from the ground up with a privacy-first, AI-powered platform transforming commerce media. Our platform enables sophisticated audience management, seamless campaign execution, and advanced monetization-while keeping data security and privacy at the core. We empower our partners to turn every customer interaction into a revenue-generating opportunity, leveraging AI, first-party data, and seamless integrations across the entire retail media ecosystem.

Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Program Manager to drive and coordinate initiatives across our product and engineering teams. You will play a pivotal role in executing Carter’s leading priorities across our ad platform, data engine, and ad server. This is a high-impact position, acting as the right hand to our Head of Product and Head of Engineering, ensuring that projects are delivered on time, teams are held accountable, and our ambitious goals are met.

You will thrive in a fast-paced, ambiguous startup environment, managing complex, cross-functional adtech projects from inception to launch. Your ability to bring structure, clarity, and momentum will be critical to Carter’s continued success as we scale globally.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and drive execution of high-priority initiatives across product and engineering, with a focus on Carter’s ad platform, data engine, and ad server
  • Own end-to-end program delivery: define scope, set milestones, manage dependencies, and ensure teams are accountable for hitting targets
  • Partner closely with the Head of Product and Head of Engineering to shape roadmaps, prioritize initiatives, and provide regular progress updates
  • Facilitate effective cross-team collaboration, ensuring alignment between engineering, product, data science, and business stakeholders
  • Identify and proactively manage risks, removing blockers and resolving issues to keep programs on track
  • Build and optimize processes for tracking progress, reporting status, and driving continuous improvement
  • Lead with a data-driven mindset, leveraging analytics and reporting to inform decisions and measure success
  • Operate with agility and adaptability, embracing ambiguity and shifting priorities as Carter continues to grow and innovate
  • Foster a culture of accountability, transparency, and high performance within and across teams

Basic Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of technical program or project management experience, with a track record of delivering complex, cross-functional adtech or martech projects
  • Deep familiarity with ad platforms, data engines, ad servers, and the broader adtech ecosystem
  • Experience leading programs involving integrations, analytics, and large-scale data systems
  • Strong technical acumen; able to understand system architecture, data pipelines, APIs, and cloud-based platforms
  • Demonstrated ability to drive accountability, manage competing priorities, and deliver results in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and organizational skills
  • Comfortable working independently and collaboratively across remote, hybrid, and in-person teams
  • Experience with agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) and modern project management tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence)
  • Passion for privacy, data security, and building products that balance innovation with compliance

We are proud to offer a competitive salary alongside a strong healthcare insurance and benefits package. The role is ideally hybrid, with 2 days per week spent in our Toronto office, however we are accepting remote applications across North America. We pride ourselves on the growth of our employees, offering extensive learning and development resources.
